Seeing a beam of light, Marluxia tipped his head in confusion and
made his way over . He yelped as a Mamoswine thundered past him and
he looked at the area it came from with caution. Recalling all his
Pokemon into their pokeballs, Marluxia crept up, gasping silently
when. He saw a trainer with their Pokemon
Corey followed Marluxia, quite surprised by the current events. He
recalled Sawsbuck and Gogoat, only Zebstrika by his side now. "That
could be an issue..."
"Good job Garlo." Najima praised her dark-dragon type, walking up
to him and gently stroking his heads, gaining a soft appreciative
croon as a response. "I'm not too sure why it would challenge us
though. Pokemon usually stay far away from us." She mused with a
soft sigh, Scarlet floating up to her, brightening softly to
silently comfort her trainer.
Sneaking closer, Marluxia examined Najima. She didn't seem
dangerous or threatening. The Mamoswine was injured, yes, but he
could guess by the way her Pokemon treated their trainer that she
had battled out of self defense. Not out of sport. He felt a little
bit easier about the situation but was still on guard. None of his
Pokemon, save Ienzo, were fit for battle.
Corey stood cautiously behind Marluxia, observing the situation
further. "Zebstrika, on guard" he whispered quietly. She didnt look
threatening but the possibility still loomed.
Three heads raised up suddenly. Garlo's large body jerked, heads
whipping around, snarling as he picked up on unfamiliar scents.
Najima tensed while Scarlet's inner-flame flared. The girl kept
close by her Pokemon, narrowing her eyes and glancing at her
surroundings warily before speaking. "Whoever's there, come out. I
mean no harm unless you look to fight." she stated more then
threatened, making it clear she was not out to fight for the fun of
it.
Being so focused on Nijima, Marluxia stiffled a scream when he
heard Corey's talk from behind him. He didn't even realize that he
was being followed. Thinking that it was his scream that alerted
her to their presence, his shoulds sagged and he shot Corey an
apologetic look
Corey stood up, sighing and walking out with Zebstrika. "I'll be
the first to apologize...we just got here and seeing such a ruckus
interested us. I can promise though, nobodies looking for a fight
around here." He chuckled, extending his hand. "I'm Corey"
Stroking Garlo's heads to calm him down, Najima nodded in
understanding. "It's alright, I would most likely do the same in
your position." she said understandingly with a small smile.
Tanking his hand, she introduced herself. "My name's Najima, and
these two lovelies are Garlo and Scarlet." she said softly,
gesturing to each Pokemon as she said their names. Scarlet gave a
friendly wave while Garlo simply nodded, still on guard in case
they where to threaten his trainer.
"Ah, um I'm sorry. I saw the Mamoswine and I thought someone hurt
it on purpose..." Marluxia added, stepping out of the trees. "My
name's Marluxia Ponderosa. I'm sorry for the inconvenience." He
bowed to Najima, looking a bit nervously at Garlo
"Like I said before, it's quite alright, and your reactions where
understandable." Najima said with a small smile.
Suddenly, from her black bag that laid beside Garlo, something
stirred. Ylva, a tiny, baby yveltal, poked her head out of the bag.
She let out a large yawn before perking up and chirping in delight,
exited at the prospect of meeting the new people and Pokemon that
had entered the clearing. Bright blue eyes scanned the new arrivals
and she hopped out of the bag she had previously been asleep in.
With a small sigh of affection, Najima walked over and scooped up
the small legend into her arms, holding her as gently as a mother
would her child.
"And this little dear is Ylva. I was entrusted her egg by a yveltal
who had been close to death and became dormant, unable to care for
her any longer. And she's just been a bundle of sunshine the moment
I got her! Isn't that right?" She said, that last part to Ylva who
crooned happily, tail swishing behind her.
Gasping, Marluxia hesitantly came further. "Can... Can I see that
Yveltal?" He asked, never seeing another Legendary. Especially not
one of death and destruction.
"Of course you can!" Najima said, smiling at Marluxia before
sitting down on the ground and setting the small legend in her lap.
"Ylva just loves meeting new people!" As she spoke Ylva had crawled
out of her lap and onto the ground. Chirping excitedly, Ylva hopped
closer to Marluxia, underdeveloped wings flapping, not strong
enough to fly yet. As she made her way over to him she stumbled a
few times before regaining her footing and stopping in front of
him. Peering up at him, Ylva let out a series of chirps and croons
in greeting, small feathers fluffing up in excitement, tail wagging
so hard it shook her entire body.
Picking Ylva up gently, Marluxia smiled at the tiny Legendary.
Sure, Ienzo would be jealous that he was holding another mythical
Pokemon other than himself but Marluxia didn't really care. He was
in awe and fawned over Ylva. "Such a cute Pokemon! I can hardly
believe that you'd grow up and become a bringer of destruction." He
commented reverently
Corey stood astonished, pulling out a berry from his bag. "I gotta
say with all respect...being near such a potentially deadly pokemon
is surely an experience..." he said, slowly feeding Ylva the berry.
"Quite the interesting little fella though..."
"What a cute little bringer of death and destruction. Who's a cute
one? Yes, yes you are!" He cooed, gently booping the baby legendary
on her nose. "You're gonna be big and strong, just like your mama
right?" He was having the time of his life. Don't fault a guy for
being mushy over a baby Pokemon.
Ylva let out squeaks and chirps of happiness as she was held by
Marluxia, and she practically inhaled the berry Corey gave her. He
tail was swishing so hard one would start to worry she would
dislocate it, and she squealed happily when she was booped on the
nose.
Najima chuckled at the small legend. "Well, it seems like I just
have an affinity for dangerous Pokemon. I mean, have you
read the pokedex entry's for the entire Litwick line?" she
hummed, gesturing to Scarlet, who's orange flames brightened for a
moment before dulling again.
