"Nice" Cam replies, she stands up, looking towards the mountain.
It's not far away now, but still further than she would like.
"Well, I'd love to continue talking, but I have to go on a mission"
she walks away, shooting the girl a kind look. "Maybe see you
later?" She calls, giving the girl a small wave
"Thanks" Cam shouts, before racing off again. Heart pounding from
the effort of running so far
'They better still be there' she hopes, 'I can't believe I forgot'
Kayn was close enough to the silhouette to be able to make out a
person but he couldn't, a voice in his head echoed but he couldn't
make out the words. "Syn...?" he grunted out as his head began
pounding and he covered his face to try and block the brightness of
everything around him. He felt like he was floating, like it had
been hours but he had simply collapsed for a couple of minutes. He
slowly stood up and brushed the snow off himself, the silhouette
was gone.
After some wandering he managed to find the group he had separated
himself from earlier. To his surprise there were new additions but
he didn't say anything to anyone. He listened and tried to piece
together what they had found out, if anything.
The pair had gotten lost whilst following a trail, Sparrow now
having to carefully guide the horse up a steep and narrow pathway
up to the mountain. With no way to safely turn around, moving
upwards was their only option, hoping that turning around up there
would be easier. A few stumbles, regrets, and smidge of
determination later, they made it to the top. The only thing
stopping Sparrow from leaving was the group of people a few meters
away from her. Other assassins? She'd heard folk talk about this
mountain during their stay at the inn. If assassins were here, it
could only mean that a bounty was too. She takes out the bow from
its sheath on her back and licks her lips.
Cam finally reaches the group, her face is red and sweat prickles
her forehead. "Sorry-" she pauses to breath, "That I'm late" she
finishes, hands on her knees, she grimces. "It's been awhile since
I ran like that" she says with a tight grin
Kimaru looked at his map and folded it up. “That’s okay, We are
moving now” he said as he started up the little trail. Up ahead was
a open gate with the words Idia’s Range on it.
Cam nods, taking the rear of the group. Under her long cloak, she
keeps a hidden blade under the sleeve, it's her only defense. She
keeps her eyes open for any signs of danger
Nocturne followed carefully, taking deep breaths with each passing
moment. He stared up at the sign and shivered with fear, his
eyebrows lowering to make a concerned expression.
Avian began to sing softly to himself, a low tune that held despite
his quiet, whispery voice.
“Follow me into the dark,
Past the fallen hunter’s mark,
Close your eyes dear lamb of prey,
Release your sorrows to the day..”
(Just a heads up, but because I'm unable to rent a school laptop
over the four day break my activi=ty on here will be cut some. But
I'll be on here when I can.)
From behind the group came a small laugh, almost eerie though there
wasn't much silence thanks to the howling wind of the mountain.
"Don't worry, I mean no harm... I've been sent on the same mission
by your beloved king, just as you have... Which is also why I think
you should give up on what you are trying." Ichi says. Without a
doubt, he is the owner of the odd laugh. With a sly look on his
face, no one in the group is completely sure whether trust can be
used for him or not. I mean, you can't exactly just believe anyone
that says they are helping you, especially with the atmosphere he
give off.
Avian jumped, startled. Almost immediately a loud yowl echoed from
around his body, a corporeal beast taking form and rising from his
shadow. It crouched and snarled at him, tufted ears laid back and
teeth bared.

Ichi raised a threatening hand at the beast. "At least hear me out.
Your way of attacking this swordsman will get us all killed." Ichi
says to the group, having a calm stance despite a giant beast of
shadows right in front of him
A low growl was uttered from both cat and man, Avian taking a step
back. “Ethel. Down.” He mumbled softly. The cat sat, it’s stub of a
tail flicking a pebble from where it rested.
