Bump! I'm on a shiny mega event hunt and would love a way to more efficiently collect event points without draining my irl pockets (which is really only the current way to quickly gain EP) -- this has my full support (still)!!

While I do think this is a good idea, I really think this will lower the price of shiny events drastically. Even if it's harder to get, the amount of players on this site would make shiny events far more common. Mega-Powered events may become worthless, which isn't very fair to the users that spent months, or even years on shiny mega event hunts. One solution could be to make a separate currency that can't be used for event passes, but rather single eggs. It would make shiny hunting harder, but would still make the events accessible to everyone.

full support! i agree that they should be harder to get than dream points, but an extra way to actually get them beyond hoping you get some in boxes and paying nuggets for them would be great!

I would agree with this if there were only daily tasks were harder and gave less... Or the events would have a HUGE drop in price.... maybe I would agree to hourly tasks if every event doubled or mb tripled in event points. Kinda unrelated: Some things in PH are dying already-like ditto. It will still take a while before we can bury it next to eevee, but the day will come. I think events would die too if this would be implemented without a catch. For now? Disagree

For most events, unless they're newer and well liked, they don't sell well. Not the shinies, not the mega-ables, not the regular ones. One event pass for an uncommon shiny is 30,000 event points (at half price, normally they're 60k EP) which is at *minimum* if you use the event point package deals, is 2,500 nuggets / $25 USD.

The resell price of most uncommon events in nuggets is about 100-300, maximum. I was struggling to even sell shiny and mega-able cottonblu for 100 & 200 nuggets respectively, that's 1-2 USD per each shiny that cost me ~25 dollars each. It was a financial loss. A money sink.

Their price to worth ratio is already so skewed as it is, they're almost not worth selling in the first place. If they're not going to sell as it, it's worth reducing their event pass prices or giving us alternatives in getting event points (like these challenges), so the amount you get back is better worth the amount you pay for the event points or passes.

That is true.... :/ Maybe on another note, there should be something like a gem collector except you can trade in your unselled events for event points? (not exact-less)

Full support ^^ Even if not daily, maybe weekly tasks with larger goals (100 hangman, 25k interactions, hatch x amount of eggs, etc) would be great! It would encourage more people to actively play imo. Plus there are tons of event pokemon now to actually hunt.

Ahh yess this would be super helpful! Especially because we have to pay 1 nugget per 10 Event points. And 1200 event points just for a common event pokemon is suuuper expensive- event tasks would not only give us something more to do, but would help us save nuggets and other items! ^^
