The easiest way to earn PD while starting new in the game is by interacting. Buying 'amulet coin' from the item shop gives you double PD from interactions, so be sure to check it out.
After you have collected enough money(150k PD), you can buy pokeradar from the shop and start shiny hunting, which provides further more money. Hunt the right pokemon, sell them, and get rich.

Rumbling is also an easy way, though you have to spend some time in it to get noticable money off it. I am at lvl 82 of a map with all 6 explorer badges, and I make 7-12k money per one round of 12 hour rumble missions. Now, this may seem really low, but you can do them twice a day, so 15-20k+ PD per day, and if you are good at saving, you'll have 100k+ PD in 10-ish days. (Bear in mind that this is after investing some time into rumbling.)
Also, you have chances to get a star piece from rumbling, which sells for an average of 50k. And also mystery keys and boxes, which overal add to a good income.

I wouldn't say that shiny hunting is a particularly good 'get rich quick -scheme' if you're not premium. Simply because you have to pay a further 50k PD (alternatively electric gems or nuggets) in order to buy batteries for the radar (aka. use it) and the chain breaks after you get your first shiny and you have to buy batteries for the radar again before you can hunt another shiny. Not to mention the additional cost of breeding in the daycare or buying eggs from the gem collector. I'm not sure all that many shinies sell for good enough price nowadays for this to be highly profitable so you'd have to decide what you're hunting carefully.

Hunting pokemon with mega evolutions might bring you additional mega able pokemon to sell but shinies of pokemon species with mega evolutions sell for less because they're hunted more for those mega ables. So with bad luck, you might end up losing money.

I agree about rumbling though, leveling the areas up gets you a boost to the rewards you reap from them as well so sending out those mons pays you well in the long run.

And yep, keeping those interactions going is good for your money as well. It gets you golden game chips as well and, with luck, the golden slot can be quite the lottery win.

I'd say the berry garden and emera beach could be worth checking out. The bulletin board tasks at the berry garden can sometimes be worth your time (especially white powder and dragon gems), just remember to stop by there often to remove tasks that aren't all that good and eventually you'll get lucky enough to get a truly good one.

Fishing on the other hand can get you some more keys/boxes, other worthwhile items or even good pokemon like shinies. Leah also has some good trades, most notably the volcanion map and mega stone but getting some of her less amazing things to sell will earn you some PD as well.

Trying to gather some PD at the start can be a bit of a daunting task, but as long as you stay patiently active and keep doing things around the site, it'll pay up with time (even if it's slowly). Hopefully this was of some help and best of luck on your journey to get rich. :,]
