Smokey looked thoughtful. "Austin went towards the beach. He mentioned something about wanting to catch a pokemon?" He said thoughtfully. "Wait, he doesn't have Torrent with him? It's dangerous to try and catch a pokemon without another pokemon to help you." He asked in shock.

Stream blinked, surprise. "What?!" Is this kid actually crazy?! "What is he thinking?!" She says before running off to the beach to find Austin.

Smokey watched as Stream left. He was going to say something, but decided against it. Smokey then walked back inside.

Austin walked along the beach and caught up to the Growlithe. It's dangerous to try and battle it without a Pokemon. I should befriend it. He thought to himself as he thought about what his uncle, Tiger, had said to him when he found himself without a Pokemon. Austin crouched down and grabbed the malasada from earlier. He held it out for the Growlithe who barked and looked at Austin cautiously. "Hello there. Want some?" Austin asked gently and smiled. The Growlithe slowly went up to him.

Stream gets to the beach and stops when she sees Austin. Not yet announcing her presence, she watches. He didn't seem to be in any danger, so perhaps she didn't need to be so worried.

The Growlithe accepted the malasada and barked gleefully as he took a bite. The puppy Pokémon then nuzzled Austin's hand. "Nice to meet you too. Do you want to help me find my friend and be my friend? I promise it'll be fun." He asked kindly. Growlithe barked once more and nodded before poking the empty pokeball Austin was holding.

Stream smiles at this, but remains quiet, not wanting to startle or scare away the Growlithe.

Growlithe went into the pokeball and was caught. Austin smiled, "awesome, now I can go look for Torrent." He said cheerfully and turned around. He then froze when he saw Stream.

"Um... hey." Stream says. She walks over to Austin and handed him the Pokeball. "Some bullies took your Pokeball, but they just gave it to me before they could get into trouble with the teachers"

Austin blinked and put Growlithe's pokeball on his belt. He looked at the pokeball and accepted it before nodding. "Uh, thanks Stream." He said in a relieved tone. "Honestly, I was worried I'd never see Torrent again." He said quietly and grabbed the pokeball.

Austin looked ashamed at the mention of being irresponsible, he nodded and put Torrent's pokeball on his belt next to Growlithe's. "Yeah, sorry about that." He mumbled quietly, "guess I wasn't responsible enough to check and make sure I didn't lose Torrent when I fell into the fountain." He said kindly and sneezed.

Austin shrugged in response to Stream. "It wasn't your fault, after all, Torrent is my Pokémon and my responsibility. I'm just glad he's alright." He said gently and smiled. "Thanks again for getting him back."

Austin stretched and started back towards town. "Anyway, it's getting late. Do you want to have dinner with me and Smokey? After all I should at least thank you for my incompetence at being a trainer." He offered politely.
