My suggestion is really simple - to create a discord server dedicated to pokeheroes. Its an online chat platform and its fully for free c:
I'd say there is nothing more info to add >v<

1. We do have forum for discussion.
2. For group chat Hero Chat can be used.
3. Discord is a third party site.

It's pretty unnecessary to create an "official" PH server
There are many PH servers created by users already.
Besides, making an official server would serve no purpose, it would just be another forum and another place for the mods to enforce the rules.

you could also add new friends on discord via this, that way you can still keep in contact with players, even when you're not on the game. like if you're selling something, but have to leave in a rush, you could say "pal pad, or message on discord"

While we all know that Discord is a third party site, a vast majority of sites nowadays use Discord since it's a lot more efficient to use. HeroChat is... Well tbh, I've been scouting there for months and I don't think a majority of the members use that feature, let's be honest here.

I get that there are a lot of private discord servers, but they aren't that well known and I feel that Discord is a better alternative to Herochat (which is often unused, and I'm not sure if this is just a problem for me, but it doesn't work on my phone), plus Discord also has a lot of useful functions and bots, such as separate channels for different purposes, being able to moderate the chat (e.g. kicking, banning, muting), and is very customisable (locking channels from view or from messages)

We had enough (unofficial) ones already, and all of them got out of hand with spam, swearing, insulting and drama.
We have feeds, the forum, PalPad, PMs AND the Hero-chat. This is more than enough.
Plus, there existing STILL enough private ones. And it means that the Mods need to take care of a Server BESIDES their normal work here for something that is already existing in one way or another...

1. There are already too many private servers.
a. Sorry. I've been here 3 1/2 years and have literally JUST found two.
b. The private ones are for cliques of 5-30 friends. An official one would make it easier for everyone to keep in contact with each other. Everything would be in one place, all nice and searchable. Since PH no longer has a PP app, it would make it easier for people to get in contact with each other because they'd get a notice for a tag or pm.
2. We have Forums, Pal Pad, and Hero Chat
Hero Chat has been used maybe five times (that I've noticed) in my 3 1/2 years here. I've barely even looked at the Forums in my time here, mostly because I find it waaaay too difficult to navigate. And with no search option, if I forget to subscribe to a Thread, then it's pretty much lost forever unless someone happens to know/is able to link back to that Thread. As for PP, I type up my message elsewhere so I can space between paragraphs and see all of what I'm typing to proofread before sending.
3. The Mods have enough on their plates with the site as is
a. In every single game I've played that has an Official Discord, many of the in game Mods were also a Mod on Discord. It's up to the Mod to determine if it's "too much work". If they don't want to mod Discord as well, I'm sure Riako wouldn't mind hiring Discord Only Moderators.

I think Discord is easy to use - with many games already having Discord servers, why not PokeHeroes? You could play many games at once and chat on the same platform. No one uses HeroChat, so what's the purpose of it then?

It wouldn't overrule the forums, either, but people could more easily discuss stuff casually.
I don't think it would take over the Notification Wall, but I honestly see it more as posting a thing out to everyone like an Instagram post and rarely actual conversations do spawn from and continue in feeds at great length so.. eh.
PalPadding I don't see a big issue with, like, you're probably gonna dm someone on Discord instead of PalPad if you have their Discord, anyways. PalPad is a lot more of a "oh you're already speaking on-site" kinda thing.
Also the Facebook page is kinda dead, so the Discord widget could just replace its widget or go above it.
One big pro is a new announcement can be pinged to everyone with just a link to the forum post or the home page news post as well.
Another is that there can be a #trade-discuss or #battles channel to actually organize those things, whereas trading you can do that onsite easily, it'd just be easier to reach anyone instead of just people you have add, battling I always hear a bunch of people having issues with it.
Cons uh.. voice chat is pretty unmoderatable, you'd just have to have integrity if the whole PG13 rules are kept to the same standard on said server, but hopefully that wouldn't be a huge issue. Custom emotes from other servers can be disabled but.. that's kinda no fun, so NSFW ones could just be banned but ehhhhh.. That's a whole other topic lol.

So since I can't make my own post and put it in further detail, I'll just add it onto here.
So no doubt you've seen unofficial discords for the game, they pop up every once in a while. Usually they die out within a few weeks due to lack of use and they end up getting forgotten. I believe there is potential for an Official Discord, owned by Riako and run by mods (possibly a new round up so current mods aren't overwhelmed).
Instead of Riako making a feed about ideas on plushies, a new update, or maybe a stream, there is an issue with that, it only gets seen by a couple hundred people. Instead of a post he could do an @everyone, and you would get a notification - You could make these silent if you chose so - This could open the door to so many possible things. There are hundreds of bots to self assign roles, to see certain chats and also to get certain notifications, such as: @Stream - A notification for Riako's stream, @Update - Notifications about new updates that come to the game, major and/or minor. Riako could even choose to have voice chats with us users, maybe only during streams, or maybe weekly or monthly.
I've only noted a couple of things that would be possible on this discord. If you come up with other things, feel free leave them in the comments 😀
Also, Discord isn't this unmanageable hell that anything can go, there are so many bots that can ban certain words, you can have mods warn people, and with too many warns, get banned from the server. If any mods that were interested in these features I have a good bit of experience moderating discord server. Ask any questions and I'll be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

If he would move all the things there then still some people might not see the latest updates, plushies or news. Why can't we have them let on Pokéheroes? Like this, everyone who is actively on Pokéheroes gets the news.
@All, as long as no news or updates about this site only go to discord, I don't mind having all those discord groups. You could still use them, some are even more active there, but this is nothing for me.

Imagine instead of having to search through the new 40 feeds you got because of a new minor update, searching for the feed, you could wake up, check your phone to see a Discord notification, you tap it, and the first thing you see is. @MinorUpdates. You can open discord, read what you need to read, see a picture of the before and after.

I'm using a laptop most of the time and the first thing I check isn't an app like discord nor Pokéheroes, so I couldn't care less for me to go through all feeds just to get through the news, which he might not even write about, ya know?
Look: All I'm trying to explain you, is that don't care, if he would do one, as long as he also posts the updates here, because they are about this website. For the people, and I'm not the only one, who don't use discord.
