"WAITWAITWAIT I FORGOT YOURS." Mel shouted, reaching into her backpack to produce the present. It was a pin that had Toka, Tira and Char on it, realistically made. "MERRY SUPER LATE CHRISTMAS." She added, accepting the present from Mira. Her eyes widened briefly and she grinned. "Jeez Mira, that's. That is fantastic. Honestly. I'm not surprised your an artist." She grinned. "Thanks." She added brightly.

"You're welcome and thank you for the wonderful comment and HOLY SHARPEDO I THINK I'M HAVING A HEART ATTACK," Mira hunched over, panting. "Okay. I'm good," She cleared her throat and accepted the present, opening it. "ACK. That is terrific. How do you people have such talent creating pins?!" She squeaked, holding it closer to examine it. "Thank you!"

Tiger smiled slightly he then grabbed his bag from Setchi, who had gone back to Rocket HQ to grab it. He grabbed the gauze from his first aid kit and began to wrap his injured ankle. His badge case fell out of the bag and opened the Cyndaquil pin Mel gave him was right above the eight johto badges. Tiger snatched a ribbon that almost fell out of the pocket his badge case was in. He quickly put it in his jacket pocket with only Mira catching a very small glimpse of it.

Mira blinked and frowned for a moment. Is that...? She couldn't hide a cheeky smirk from her face as she straightened up, yawning.

Tiger glanced at Mira for a moment and blinked. Did she see the ribbon? he thought to himself and shook the thought away. He then grabbed the badge case off the ground and put the Zephyr badge back into its spot.

Mel glanced at her pokégear briefly, eyes widening. "SHOOT SHOOTSHOOT GOTTA BLAST." She shouted, shoving it back into her backpack. She unzipped the main pocket and tucked the painting in gently, zipping it up quickly to sling it around her shoulder again. "I do NOT plan on being murdered today. I'll see you guys next year." She grinned, dragging Mira and Tiger into a quick hug.

Riu rolled his eyes and tapped his foot.

Mira hugged back. "See you next year!" She squeaked, quickly pinning her present onto the front of her bag. "Johto is waiting for us!"

Tiger blinked and hugged Mel for a second. He quickly kissed her cheek before smiling faintly. "I-I'll see you and Z next year. Stay safe" he said gently. He then blinked "oh wait. Mel...um the Venusaur plush I gave you the day well.." he trailed off, and grabbed a venusaurite from his bag. "When I went back to the shop the guy mentioned how you were looking at it. I got it for free when I bought a new megastone for Muddie" he said quickly. "Um anyway I'll see you later" he said softly, and looked back at his badge case to avoid looking at Mel

Mira nodded. "...One last present. I might as well do this now..."

She pulled out a much smaller portrait. A simple pencil sketch, uncolored but clearly had a lot of love put into it. It was of Mira, Jamie, Robert, Tiger, Z, Mel, and Ivan all together. Simple enough. "I made one for everybody," She mumbled, shoving it into Mel's arms.

Mel grinned and accepted the megastone, tucking it into a safe pocket. "I'll give it to Bo when I transfer him into my party." She said, kissing his cheek quickly before pulling back. She took the portrait and blinked. "Jeez Mira, you're fantastic. Seriously. How can anyone draw this well." She grinned, gently tucking the drawing into her backpack as well. "Thanks. Both of you. I'll see you next year!" She called, grabbing Riu and Z's arms to sprint out of the building.

Transferring Vol back onto her team, Mel released the Flygon and scrambled onto his back, letting Riu leap on in front of her. "Think anything exciting will happen next year?"

"Obviously. It's them. Actually, it's us. Oh course something will happen."

Mel rolled her eyes and nudged Vol gently. "We're going to see Mia." She said cheerfully. The Flygon nodded and took off into the sky, vanishing into the clouds.

She looked down and grinned.

Who knows what we'll see.

Mira smiled and waved goodbye to Mel as she flew off. She pulled out the other portrait and gave it to Tiger. Watt poked his head out of her hood and glanced down at the row of pokeballs on Mira. "You'll get to know my team soon enough, little guy," Mira assured him, rubbing his ear. Watt squeaked happily and climbed back onto her shoulder.

"I should probably be going soon, too. Whenever Robert and Jamie are ready," Mira yawned.

Tiger waved a farewell to Mel and sighed. "I'll see you later. I love you" he said gently and smiled. He glanced over to Mira "thanks for the picture" he said kindly and looked at the portrait. "Guess I'll see you all next year then" he said gently.

Mira nodded. "Can't wait to see that play, Tiger!" She snickered, and looked to her boat in the harbor. She hoisted her luggage on (it had been packed the night before, and she had grabbed it while getting the presents). "I'll see you next year..." She hugged Tiger. "Guardian," She whispered almost inaudibly.

Tiger blinked and hugged Mira back. He froze as he barely heard the last part, but soon he shook his head thinking he misheard. "I'll see you next year" he said kindly to Mira before letting go. He looked around for the SS. Anne from where he sat. A night alone in Kalos. Who knows it might be nice to have nothing but silence for once he thought to himself joking slightly.

Robert and Jamie both put their backpacks on Mira's boat. "Life in a backpack has its perks." Jamie mused to Robert.

"That it does. See you soon Tiger. Remember to use the hamster ball if needed." Robert joked with a grin.

"What Robert said!" Mira laughed, and hopped into the boat. "Seeya Tiger! Don't die before next year!" She called, and sailing off as soon as Robert and Jamie were in. Would you look at that. I've known the Johto guardian for almost four years. She thought, smirking, as she headed towards the Sevii Islands.

"I promise I won't die before next year" Tiger joked, and got to his feet. He then half walked half limped towards the hotel for his last night in Kalos. "I promise Robert I'll use the hamster ball" he joked warmly.

The twins both relaxed on Mira's boat as it sailed off. "So what can you tell us about the bird trio?" Jamie's voice could be heard asking.
