Activity on PokéHeroes
Forum-Index → News → Activity on PokéHeroesI originally planned to post this as a feed - but it turned out to be a Wall of text. Sorry!
So I just deleted another 2,954 accounts - and we're back at 95k registered members. Time to talk about
The decreasing activity on PokéHeroes
As many of you might have noticed, the general activity has dropped quite a bit during this year. The amount of new registrations per day has significantly dropped, as well as the amount of actual online users. PokéHeroes has obviously not died - the numbers aren't that bad. But it's still an issue that shouldn't (and won't) be ignored.
Now there are several reasons for this - main one's are that we put less effort into advertising for PH on other websites and on social media and that there were maybe a bit less updates/events during spring/summer of 2017 (real life can be stressing sometimes :b). Now those are obviously my fault; I simply didn't have enough time to spend on either of these topics - and because of that I wasn't really surprised by the decreasing activity. It was expectable.
But that will change.
I deleted over 5 thousand accounts during the last few weeks kind of as a motivation. So we can reach the goal of 100k registered members again - but this time we'll deserve it! This time we won't reach it because there are advertisement accounts or a bunch of user accounts that were never used after signing up. This time we'll reach it because we will rebuild our great community and actually increase the activity, and not just a pointless counter.
How are we gonna change it?
First, we will focus more on making new users stay instead of focussing on getting as many account registrations as possible. One user who plays for a year or more is much more valuable to our community than a hundred users that leave right after starting the tutorial.
Second, we will try to get inactive accounts back - for example through a better E-Mail newsletter system and a better social media appearance (We have more than 20k likes on our Facebook fanpage - it's stupid not to use this connection!).
And last but not least, you can obviously also help us rebuilding our great community! You can tell your friends about this game, share our Facebook page/posts or simply help new users getting started - either with a friendly PM or a Plushie as a welcome gift! There are many ways to engage with new and returning users - and we'd be happy if you could join this movement :)
Our goal:
So for the next 2.5 months - until the end of the year - I have set myself three goals. Maybe we'll reach them, maybe we won't - but the point is to always have a goal in mind that you want to reach.
→ 100k registered members
→ 2.5k online members per day. Currently we are at around 2k members per day
→ 25k Facebook Fanpage Likes
So without further ado - let's get started and let's rebuild our awesome community together!

Its always so nice to get a bit startup in a new game... it helped me when Liirah started ph i thought ohh nice and she helped me with some good tips and advise.

Together we can be strong !

Maybe this could also be a great way to possibly introduce more tasks (something like the daily reward) that could be around permanently to help out newer users as well?
(ex, click 200 pokemon, get a few free berries/PD in return, level up your first pokemon, get some free evo stones, etc)
I found that without friends on site when I just started out was honestly kinda demotivating because theres' just so much to do, and saving up for your first few items was also pretty hard :o (mind you I liked the challenge), but quite a few people on here who are starting out are the newer generation of children, so not very old :o and get demotivated pretty quickly aha

I guess I'm thinking that it'll make them feel a bit welcome, and maybe stay a bit more in PokéHeroes? c:
Overall I just love this game and I'm not planning to quit it :))
Edit: This idea just blasted into my mind. Idunno if someone here ever heard of Habbo (probably yes :>) but well I remember some years ago when I was playing it there was a role in the staff called "Event Maker" basically just means that those were the people behind most of the events. So I was kinda just thinking of it if it would be able to exsist on here. It would basically mean that those people would be in charge of finding creative ideas to keep everybody on here happy and create some fun things to do on here. We could call them "Creators" or something like that. They could also help with finding ideas for new event pokemons. The fun thing about this could also be to interact with the rest of PH. If I'm correct there are always some competitions for the artwork of the Advent Calender, but what If we did this for for ex. Event Pokemons? Would basically mean that people give ideas/sketch the event pokemon that they have in mind. After this the Spriters could try and make it and the winner could get like an exclusive "version" of his own creation/event pokemon (With version I mean like maybe the text next to "Obtained" could be like: Exclusive gift from Prof. Rowan, or smth like that :>)
Then again these are just some random ideas I had! You can always say your opinion about this if you want! :)
"You know, I wouldn't trust me, but I would totally like me. (inhales) I do like me."
Secondly I´d like to suggest to increase the time limit on the last deleting process, so everyone who hasn´t been active for 2 years + game time less than ONE HOUR.
Also I think it happened enough on here, there were quite a lot of events (shaysola, ZR, berry battle etc. just recently). Maybe it could be more, but I think if people are complaining about this, they just have expectations way out of common sense.
All in all I am really glad to have found this game and a huge thumbs up to Riako and his Team!
I used my cousins email (and switching it soon) with permission and soon, the moment she actived it,I jumped right on.I actually came across this by chatzy by a few people.
I would advertise this a little bit on pokefarm but they would ban me and I actually play on there but pokeheroes was the start of everything....
But yeh,I am totally hype for upcoming events!
