Standing at just under 5'6 with a small frame, she isn't very intimidating. In fact, she's so thin and light, it almost seems as if a good storm could blow her away. However, there's power behind her skinny limbs, and she is not to be underestimated. Syd is a relatively attractive human being, with green eyes and long chestnut hair in natural waves. She's somewhere between tan and pale, and has lovely rounded features. Sporting comfortable clothing (you never know when you'll get called in for work) and few extra accessories, she's fully devoted to her life as a Protector, and does not care much about her appearance. The only thing she insists on wearing is a simple band of silver around her left ring finger.
Personality:
Syd is a very caring and loyal person - until you do something stupid. Sure, she's not the smartest person, she relies mostly on her instincts to get her home safely, but if you make a mistake she will not be gentle. In fact, while she's kind and gets worried about others easily, she is not soft or cuddly in any way. She's independent, has been her whole life, and has total confidence in her sense of right and wrong. Occasionally, when she becomes angry, she can be snappish and rude, but that doesn't happen often.

Appearance:
Quite attractive, actually. He has long, slender legs and stands at about 5'11 or so. Mals has pale skin (Syd claims it's because he doesn't really go outside much), and short hair between pale blonde and sandy blonde cut just long enough so he can mess it up in the front - which he does often since he has a bad habit of running a hand through his hair when he's thinking. He has mismatched eyes, one teal and one sea green, and they're startlingly bright against his graceful features. Mals's regular outfit is form-fitting jeans, a v-neck t-shirt (mostly in gray or black), and a light flannel shirt over it that he tends to leave unbuttoned. He also has a necklace - a thin, short black cord around his neck with a flat piece of metal (about the size of a quarter) on the end, a word written on it in beautiful, elegant handwriting. In fact, the word seems to look like it's in a different language, certainly not one from Earth. Mals says it's closest translation to English is 'Trickster.'
Personality:
Mals is the kind of person to make a joke while someone has a knife to his throat. Which has happened before. He takes very few things seriously, but when he does it's like he's a whole different person. Meaning that, depending on the subject, Mals can turn from talkative and sweet to cold and thoughtful in seconds. Really, though, the big thing he takes seriously is his research on the boxes, which Syd is fine with. He does help out with searching sometimes, but he prefers to be the one that tells the information and lets others deal with it. Although, occasionally, if he's startled or angry enough, he is a good fighter for some odd reason.

Appearance:
Cass is stunningly pretty. She's slender and tall, with alabaster skin and thin, graceful limbs. Her hair falls in waves down her back, as dark as onyx, and her eyes are a deep brown that is often mistaken for black. Her features are soft but still elegant, and she has a long scar running over her left eye, impossibly white against her already pale skin. The eye doesn't seem to be damaged in any way, however, and it somehow enhances her beauty. Cass wears relatively flexible clothing, usually leggings or short shorts with a t-shirt, keeping with her already monochrome appearance. Converse are a must, she's quite agile in them, and, unlike Syd, she also enjoys to wear silver bangles or a charm bracelet.
Personality:
Despite her charming appearance, Cass is not likely to be one you'd hang out with. The girl literally seems to have no emotions whatsoever, or very few, anyways. She operates on logic and fact, making her incredibly blunt and rude. She does not show any sort of friendliness, and it's hard to read what's going on in her head since she rarely changes her expression. Oh, she still smiles and such, but there's no actual happiness behind it. It's as if she knows she should be happy, but just can't feel it. Because of this, Cass does not value many lives, and often has to be told to keep people safe or she'll use them to her advantage, sometimes resulting in injuries or death. She is, however, smart in many things about the Boxes, but prefers to help out in the field. To add to her already curious personality, she does seem to show some emotion around one person - Mals.
