Yep, watch me being lazy and not coding a whole thread to make it look nice for once.

I just noticed how the "Newest forum posts" and "Most active topics" list are basically always bummed with RPs, so my idea was to exclude RPs from these lists as some are private RPs anyways, or just from a group of friends who keep posting all day and the non-RP topics can't get listed because they're not as active as RPs. Which seems logical as RPs are basically living from posting much.

So uh. I hope you get my point. I don't know if this was already suggested, but I thought I might as well try. The forum search didn't show any results, so;
That's basically it.

Good Idea but many people love rps also, so whatabout a new section in the roleplay column only?

@Suvichan
To be honest, I don't really get what you mean by "a new section in the RPs column". Would you mind explaining?

And it might be that many people love RPs, but it can get annoying for the people who don't like RPs when the Newest Forum Post & Most Active Topics are clustered with RPs. This fact also lowers the chances of good suggestions to be noticed as the threads will be kicked off the list of newest posts immediately because of some RP posts.

I think suvichan means another column at the top with the most active roleplay topics, which i'd definitely agree with alongside this suggestion because i like reading through roleplays from time to time, but i do like to see other threads.

So i support, yea.

I think RPs could be excluded from newest posts, but not most active. It feels sort of unfair to take away the 'Most Active' title away from something that is the most active thing.
It is same as how feeds become trending when some people comment on them again and again, but with reason in case of RPs. If those feeds aren’t removed from trending, I don’t see why RPs should be removed from most active threads.

So no support from me currently.

Good point, but the thing is that RPs aren't really discussions to be considered important.
I personally think that actual discussions should be able to hold the "Most Discussed" title as they're pretty much more important than a bunch of RPs that half of the community doesn't care about at all.

Actually are there any discussions which are even half as active? I haven’t seen any important discussions which particularly deserve the most active spot.

Like I said earlier, PH allows trending feeds which became trending only due to a few users and are often of no importance. I'm sure RPs are considered much more important in the community than those feeds. It comes off as a sort of double standard to me regarding what's 'important' and what's not.

Also, if you'd notice, I think RPs should be excluded from newest posts. This action would give much more visibility to newer posts.

Just my two cents.

I only support this if another column for only RPs is added. However, I do agree that private RPs should not count in any of them.

But private RPs are already excluded. I've made posts on private RPs and not have them show up on the 'newest posts' section, as is the case with all of the other RPs in the 'private' section.

Otherwise, I don't have much support for this. Speaking as an RPer myself, I may be a bit biased, but I almost always find new RPs in the 'newest posts' or 'most active' section. It almost seems unfair to those actually making the RPs, as I think that is how most other people discover new roleplays as well.

No support, I was literally going to post the exact same thing as LuckyLikesPie. Private RPS aren't on newest posts/active psots & that's how I usually find new RPs.
