The Elementist (open RP)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → The Elementist (open RP)"Another monster?" Lucia asked quietly.
"Nah, sounded too human to be a monster." Aiden replied just as quietly. "But that doesn't mean they aren't a threat." He crept towards the voice. "Hello?"
....
Cam was able to hear the screech from where she stood in the city. She paled, dashing in the direction of the voice. "Aiden?" She called, skidding to a halt, her red hair poofing up slightly like a startled cat.
The boy whirled around. "Cam!" He lunged forward, dragging the redhead into a hug. "I thought you died!" He sobbed dramatically.
Cam snorted, shoving him away playfully. "You're faith in me is astounding, bro."
"What's up man?" Allen asked. "All the monsters are dead."
"They brought a disease here. Everyone in the city is dead. And we will be too if we don't get out of here right now"
Lucia observed the odd group. The redhead had a weird glowing orb of fire hovering over her shoulder, so surely they had powers? Perhaps it would be best if she stuck with them for a bit? She nodded to herself.
Aiden raised an eyebrow. Did they know Cam? She wasn't an idiot, she wouldn't make friends with the wrong type, would she? He glanced at his sister. No, probably not. But the question remained; Go where? Cam was right, the monsters had seemed to be everywhere. The disease could be everywhere too. All the same, he looked towards the new people.
"It doesn't affect Elementists." She said.
Jake nodded, "that would make sense, since none of us were infected. But there is only one person who I know that knows the answers to everything."
Aiden sighed. "She's not usually like this. Sorry." He said apologetically. "Its been a long day."
Lucia shrugged.
Allen looked around. "Well what?"
"Yes?" A man in Bronze age clothing appeared. He had white hair and pure white eyes. "Do I know you? Why did you call out my name?"
"From an alternate universe I do." Jake said. "Everyone, this is Well Marksworth. He is known as an Ancient, one of the earliest alien species of the universe." He turned to Well.
"Can you tell us anything about these monsters?" He asked, pointing at a dead one nearby."
Well's eyes widened. "They are simply known as the Zorgrons. An alien species almost as old as mine. But more dangerous."
"Would you know why they are here?" Sasha asked.
Well looked at them all. "It's clear they are hunting down Elementists."
"And who is behind this?" Jake asked.
"Who is behind it?" Well asked. "I honestly don't know as of this moment, but I do know what your group needs to do."
"And that is?" Jake asked.
"You must find the New Elements, most likely owned by other Elementists and get it from them."
"New Elements?" Sasha asked.
"Kind of like a second generation of elements, like Pokemon. Dark, light, Electricity, and Chaos."
"Whoo! Chaos all the way!" Allen hollored.
"I'm going for Darkness." Jake said.
"But Jake..." Elizabeth started
"There is one thing you all should know." Jake interrupted her. "The Darkness Element corrupts the mind, body, and soul. Makes people do unthinkable things. Even those who are strong minded, strong will, strong emotions fall when having this element. It is when I took upon this element that it corrupted me, and then used me to take over what was left of the world. And after that, the universe. I'm the only one going for it, no exceptions. At least, if it's just me, you all can take me out. If there were more... I don't even want to know what would happen."
Aiden muttered crossly under his breath. "And Darkness sounded so cool.." He whined. Lucia pinched him hard. "Ow! I'm sorry!"
Lucia shook her head in slight shame. "I can't believe I followed this loser all the way here." She muttered. Aiden faked a hurt look.
Elizabeth frowned. Even though this sounds a bit different from what Jake described the other universe, she has a feeling of where to find light. And Sasha has an idea where she wants to go. And Allen.... Does he remember when Jake told him how he got the Chaos element?
"I hate to say it," Jake said. "But we'll have to split up. To find these other Elementists. They most likely won't be all in one big group. So let's make a decision on a rendezvous point after we get our chosen elements"
Aiden touched his forehead thoughtfully. He was looking forward to finding this new element. He was aiming for Chaos, it sounded cool. Not as cool as Dark, but Jake but a stop to that thought, so Chaos was the next best thing.
Lucia knew exactly what she wanted. She'd read lots of books. Electricity and Water at the same time would probably destroy her, but it would be cool. She'd decided. And she knew where she was going to find her new element.
"If the other me's analytics were correct, I'll be heading to the Easter Island for the Electricity."
Allen looked around. "I'm just gonna wing it and hope for the best."
"I'm gonna see if I can draw the Dark Elementist attention to me." Jake said. "So everyone make haste out of here. Oh, and after we are all done, let's just meet by the Elemental deposit where most of you met"
Aiden snorted. Of course Cam wanted roller blades. "I guess I'm heading towards death." He shrugged, setting off down the road. Honestly? He had no idea where he was going. He was trusting his instincts and element to lead him to the right place.
Lucia groaned, looking around. She refused to be left behind, but they were right. Splitting up was the best thing to do. She knew where she was headed. And it wasn't going to be pretty.
....
Cam tripped and fell several times as she made her way out. She was sure Fire was laughing at her. (She decided that, instead of calling the weird glowing sphere "sphere", she would just call it Fire. Easy and simply and she was tired and needed a nap.)
As Elizabeth flew she couldn't help but wonder about everything. She is literally going to the Great Pyramid of Giza and there is most definitely going to be a battle there that might end with it in ruins. Would she be considered a criminal for destroying it, if it means saving the world?
Once Jake told her and the others everything, Sasha did the pleasure of doing all the research of possible areas and possible Elementists. And she gave Elizabeth a piece of paper with a few locations. But the one that struck her was the guy mummified at the Great Pyramid. He has to be it.
Sasha grew actual bird wings and flew off to the Easter Island. Even though there isn't a lot of electricity there, the energy levels are through the roof. It would be a perfect spot for an Electricity Elementist
And the clearing suddenly became brighter.
....
Lucia had no idea where she was. She knew the way back, but she didn't have a clue where she was.
Her hair was standing on end and all poofed up though, so she must be somewhat close to her final goal of electricity. Hopefully. She hesitated before continuing forward, a slight bounce in her step.
....
Aiden knew exactly where he was going. He was still walking, but he knew where. But some secrets were best left as secrets. The less people that know about his elemental powers, the better, in his opinion. So he stayed quiet, eyes never straying from the path he took.
Allen kept walking and then he seen a girl. He hesitated for a moment and then walked closer. "Oh?" She said, noticing him.
"I'm looking for the Chaos element, you know where I might find one?"
Her eyes glowed yellow.(this is because she is one of the Ancients) "you're looking at her right now." She stood up. "I was actually waiting for you."
Elizabeth landed on top of the Great Pyramid. She waited for something to happen. That's when a man suddenly appeared in a bright light. He had a sword at the ready.
"Are you the Light Elementist?" She asked.
"I am the great Khufu." He said. "The Emperor who was mummified here, in the Great Pyramid. Chosen to be the light Elementist. And now I will kill you and take your Fire from you."
Sasha finally made it to Easter Island. She has never been there before, but could feel the whole place filled with energy. "Fancy seeing another Elementist here today." She turned around and found a man staring at her. "Too bad you're gonna have to die.
"I'm not going to die by the likes of you" Sasha retorted
The boy in front of her simply giggled. "Where's the fun in that." There was a sudden blast of light that sent Cam sprawling. "I'd prefer to take your powers, y'know?!"
Cam snarled, leaping back up. "You asked for it!"
....
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to invade! I just need your electricity powers!" Lucia cried, dodging a shock.
"Go get your own!" The man bellowed, thundering towards her. Lucia screeched and dove to the side. The man collided with a wall and snarled like a wild animal.
"Don't attack innocent passerby's!" Lucia snapped, growling in frustration.
....
Aiden stood in the middle of the abandoned workshop. "I know you're here." He said quietly. "Come out. I just need your powers."
A girl crept out, bright blue eyes wide and scared. She looked younger than twenty-three. "My powers?"
Aiden nodded. "Yeah."
The girl scowled. "Why can't you find your own?"
"I have my own." Aiden replied, voice still quiet. "But I need yours. Please give them to me."
The girl's scowl deepened. "You'll have to take them from me!" She leapt at Aiden, and Aiden yelped and dodged, slamming into a wall and sliding down with an "oof".
The girl hesitated,
Allen stood there, shifting his feet. "So are you gonna, ya know, try and kill me and whatnot. For trying to get your element?"
The girl shook her head. "From what I've heard, we have met before in another universe." She passed him a knife. "You know what to do."
Allen looked at her. "Are you serious? I can't do this!"
He heard something land with a thud behind him. He turned around only to be smacked across the street by a monster.
The girl came to his aid. "We'll just have to wait a moment then. Let's take care of this Zorgron."
Elizabeth threw a fireball at the Light Elementist, but he was gone in a second. He reappeared behind her. "Marvelous how your 'scientists' found out about light. And how it is the fastest thing in the universe. It took me a millennia to finally get the speed down."
Elizabeth back elbowed him in his face, sending him flying down.
Sasha stood her ground. "I don't want to do this."
"But you have to. To save the world, blah blah blah. Thing about you heroes is this. You claim to be heroes, trying to save people. But you still murder. At least with the bad guys, you know that murder is part of the deal." He made a ball of electricity and threw it at her.
She barely dodged it and said, "don't make me do this!"
He kept sweeping in for hits faster than she court block or retaliate with. She couldn't see him but he was there, moving at the speed of light, occasionally flinging a ball of light energy at her, which usually sent her flying.
....
Lucia was getting tired as well, but no where near as tired as Cam.
She struggled valiantly on, dodging aggressive lightning shocks. But several still made contact. Her hair was puffed up, making her look like some sort of lion with a ridiculously large mane.
The man she was fighting was powerful, no doubt. But he was a physical fighter. His defensive skills were practically nonexistent. If she could land a few good hits, it would be over.
....
Aiden hesitated. "Are you sure? I feel like I'd feel better if you died in a more, y'know, dramatic way?" He was fiddling with the sword he'd created using the Earth Element.
The girl nodded. "You gotta save the world, blah blah blah. I get it. Just get this over with." She braces herself for the pain.
And Aiden raised the sword.
Elizabeth knee she couldn't match Khufu's speed. But she has one thing he doesn't have. Power. He hasn't shown any real power. She tapped into her reserves. She knew this was risky, but couldn't let this guy drag it out. Her whole body was engulfed in green flames. She opened her eyes and let it burst out everywhere, blowing up the entire Pyramid in green fire.
Sasha made some tornadoes and sent them to the Electric Elementist way. At the very least, it confused him on where she was.
Jake and the dark Elementist clashed swords. He made a stone fist and punched him when their swords locked in place
