Tiger nodded, and ran over toward Mira. As he ran he felt unusually
weak. He shook his head clear, and for a moment he felt better. He
then went over, and helped Mira clear away the rocks. Below them
was Dratini, fainted, and injured, but still alive.
She sighed and looked at the Dratini sadly. "We better take it to a
pokemon center. We can't fix this on our own," She mumbled, gently
scooping up the pokemon in her arms. Mira got a better look at
Tiger. "...Are you alright?"
Tiger looked confused "just tired...I think" he said slightly
distracted. "The only wounds I could think of was when I fell, and
cut my hand on a sharp rock before Dusk got me, and maybe some
scrapes from Nidorino...." He said half to himself. "It doesn't
matter now though....lets get Dratini to nurse joy"
Dratini stirred weakly as Growlithe prodded him. He looked up in
confusion as his vision blurred. He then squeaked faintly, and
passed out once more.
Tiger saw the pokemon center in the distance "We're almost there!"
He exclaimed in relief, he was panting slightly as he ran. What
is happening to my energy? I couldn't have gotten that hurt...not
unless he thought to himself, unaware of the poison's effects
at first. He flinched as he felt pain shoot through him where
Nidorino made contact. Have I been poisoned!? he thought in
shock, and looked at the wound on his shoulder, where the sleeve of
his jacket had been ripped apart from the battle. He then saw the
signs of poison on his shoulder. His scar faintly hiding the purple
hue of the effects. Almost there...I have a pecha berry in my
bag for this he thought to himself, and continued on.
Mira nodded and kept running until she practically burst through
the doors of the Pokemon Center. Panting heavily, she approached
the desk, stifling a cough.
Nurse Joy walked out of the pokemon center "what happened" she
asked in concern. Tiger quickly explained before sitting down in
the lobby. He was hiding the fact that he was poisoned. He wanted
Joy to focus on Dratini more than himself. Joy nodded, and looked
at Tiger suspiciously before looking back at Mira. "Hand over
Dratini I'll take good care of him" she said gently.
Mira gently put the Dratini on the counter and looked at it sadly.
"Thank you," She forced a smile and turned back to Tiger. "So.
Spill. What happened and how did you end up on top of Mt. Moon?"
Joy nodded, and took Dratini away. Tiger looked up, he finished a
pecha berry, and sighed in relief as he felt the effects of poison
wear off. "Well you see I was going to train Dusk, and Saffron when
I heard Dratini call for help..." he began slightly in an awkward
tone. He still felt awful for making her worry when he was shoved
off the cliff top. "So Dusk, and I climbed up to the top of Mt.
Moon when we saw the rocket grunt harassing Dratini...he was going
to either capture Dratini and sell him in the game corner, or let
him fall to his death..." he mumbled lowly.
Tiger blinked "I was poisoned, but I had a Pecha Berry handy" he
said softly. He looked at the wound once more, and noticed it was
no longer the purple color of a poisoned status. "Other than that I
feel fine just tired" he yawned softly, trying to reassure her. He
glanced at his hand, the wound was a deep cut and his hand was
stained red. He sighed, and went to his bag once more where he
searched for his bandages.
Tiger grand the gauze, and began to wrap his hand with it. "Yeah"
he mumbled lowly, at first not processing what Mira said. Then he
remembered that he had left the gym before she began her battle. He
glanced up slightly, and spoke a bit more softly "so how did it go?
Did you beat Misty" he asked, even though in an exhausted tone, he
was excited to hear of she won or not.
"Really" he said and smiled. "Congrats. I'm sure she was easy for
you to defeat since you have Pikachu, and Ivysaur" he said
cheerfully. The events of his battle in the gym replayed in his
mind reminding him why he left the gym.
"Yeah..." Tiger said uncertainly. He had sent Jolteon to the Lab,
and Cyndaquil was still injured. "I'll have to see how Cyndaquil is
before then though, and Elm needs to send back Jolt" he said
softly.
Tiger nodded slowly "yeah I wanted Elm to examine him, and make
sure he's healthy" he said kindly. "That and I want to make sure
Jolteon will listen to me in battle" he finished, and tore the
gauze off the roll. His hand now bandaged, he handed the roll back
to Mira.
Mira slipped the gauze back into her bag. "Makes sense. I still
think he will, but," She shrugged. "You worry too much sometimes,
y'know," She chuckled, clearly not meaning any offense.
