Gold/Silver (+ Soul Silver)
Lake of Rage Gyarados, so not really a shiny by luck, just event. :p

Female Hippopotas in the cave to get the ! + ? Unowns, my friend found her shiny geodude in the same cave lol.

White 2
Golurk, he showed up while I was EV-training my Shiny Haxorus (the one you get for completing Unova Dex )
I've yet to pick up my shiny from the white treehollow.

first shiny was in the safari, a Spiritomb.
other safari shinies are: Pawniard, Rhydon x3 (yes, 3 frigging Rhydon xD), Ninetales, Cacturne x2, Boldore (She's now an adorable Gigalith)
I've fished up countless of Shiny Poliwhirls to evolve into wrath/toed and then traded them away.

Masuda Bred for Shiny Gastly, Haunter AND Gengar. Also got me Shiny Eevee x2, Shiny Gliscor, got me a random shiny Poliwag while IV breeding for a good Politoed.

And I've Random encountered Shiny Foongus (accidentaly killed but a friend of mine was super nice, went onto the GTS and traded for a new female one for me Q_Q ) and a Shiny Durant in Hordes. The ant was sent to my friend since I have a phobia of ants (:

Currently Masuda breeding for shiny Rotom, it taks forever though, even with the shiny charm x'D

The very first Shiny I randomly stumbled across was a Shiny Delibird. Since then though I've spent thousands of hours across the games breeding, chaining and soft resetting in hopes of owning every possible Shiny. Last time I counted I had around 400 odd Shinies in total.

Not counting the shiny gyarados in heartgold, the only shinies I've caught are in Y. I caught a hoppip randomly in a horde battle (ironically the first hoppip I caught) and then by fish chaining I caught dragalgae (chain 37) and basculin (on chain 5!!)

I haven't played much lately, but in Crystal I have had a Shiny Rattata that I loved and caught really really early in the game, and a Shiny Persian (sadly I don't know where that game is :,( )

In Sapphire, there was the Shiny Girafarig in the Safari Zone (it ran away sadly) and then also my Shiny Cacnea.

I don't have a DS, but I do have an emulator and on my Pokemon Black emulator I caught a Shiny Watchog right after I got my Starter at the beginning of the game.

Aside from the usual Red Gyarados in Lake of rage, mine would be a shiny Rattata that I found in the burnt tower of Ecruteak City ^_^ I also have a shiny Swinub that I found in Ice Path, both of which are in my Pokemon Gold :D I didn't evolve them though, since they look so much better in their 1st stage (I know, I know.. Not really a good reason to keep a pokemon from evolving..)..

I caught shiny Numel and shiny Machop in Emerald . Im not sure about other games if I found one but not realise it xD

my first (and only,not including the shiny garados EVERYONE can get T3T)was a shiny golbat on the way down the tower from catching rayquaza in emerald. I almost fainted it,so I caught it in an ultra ball and now it's in diamond thanks to pal park :D

Pokemon Omega (not Omega Ruby): almost all maps, from events: sh Delibird, sh Golett, sh Joltik, sh Litwick. From premiums: none. (if someone dont know: in Omega premims were Pikachu/evo, Riolu/evo, Gible/evos, Bonsly/evo, Mime Jr/evo, Togepi/evos, Mareep/evosAzurill/no evos, Marill and Azumarill were maps) Starters: werent available, gen 6 poes also.

The only shiny I have at the current moment is a Shiny Poliwhirl in X. I accidentally was fishing near a town, and it was 2:00 in the morning. Me and my friend freaked xD I'm not even kidding. First encounter too.\r\nI also found a Shiny Teddiursa I traded on the GTS for a Rayquaza.

In Pokemon HeartGold, when I was hoping for a ditto..... a shiny ABRA appeared! I was like, what??

I used a Master Ball on it. cause I hacked the game! who wouldn't.
It was even my first encounter in Kanto.... awesome battle music!

-Zubat. My first Shiny ever found while playing through Platinum.

my first random shiny is a shiny starly i found near the route to jubilife city in platinum but i traded it to my friend for a manaphy

and my second shiny(still on platinum) is a shiny snover,and now she's a shiny abomasnow
actually i come to mt.coronet to catch absol but i found her efore i found the absol i want so i caught her

Welp. First one it gotta be the shiny Gyarados in Heartgold, He's in my Y now. Then after that was that shiny gible.. from black 2. ;c; Accidently traded him in black 2 uh. The in Y! I actually caught legit ones! One was a beloved gabite.. ;c; then a kecleon. XD

Well, guess this is an update to the post I did before:

After enabling a hack that gives Pokemon Pokerus makes encountered Pokemon shiny, I caught a pink (shiny) Mareep that later evolved into an Ampharos (renamed it BURPLE, shiny Ampharos is Purple/Pink, so.. yeah)

When testing out the hack, I also caught a shiny DROWZEE (had to be in caps because that's how HeartGold is like) that remains in my PC Box for collection.

(wow, hacking in the game like that... because of hacking Pokerus, my Pokemon have smilies on them.)

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead!

My first ever shiny (before I knew shinies were even a thing) was a Poochyena in Pokemon Ruby. Worst part about the whole thing was it actually was that first encounter when the professor was running for his life and you got to choose your starter. I just stared blankly at the screen for like, 15 minutes! I swear my soul died that night. LUCKILY somewhere down the line I actually encountered another one and caught it? Also caught a shiny zigzagoon in the same game.

In Pokemon Fire Red, I encountered a shiny Meowth that belonged to one of the rando trainers, such bad luck... AAAND a shiny geodude in a cave which I could not catch because It broke outta all my pokeballs.

In Pokemon Black (which I borrowed from a friend) I encountered a shiny Drilbur which had her frothing at the mouth.

Last ever shiny encounter I had was in Let's go Eevee, I caught a shiny Nidorina. Yaaaay~
