He nodded to Thunderclaw he then began "I must appoint a deputy before I leave" he began softly. He watched as some of the cats looked around guessing the next deputy. "I say these words in hopes that StarClan hears and approves my choice" he said boldly and watches as some of the cats got closer to hear. He saw pelts bristle in anticipation as he stopped for a second. He then spoke "Amberflame will be the new deputy" he finished.

Treepelt watched as Flowerheart and the others left camp to bury the leader. "Is there something you need, Treepelt?" Ripplepaw asked softly. Treepelt nodded "I'd like you to go hunting with Amberflame, and Thunderclaw. The fresh kill pile is beginning to grow low, and you need to brush up on your stalking skills before I do your warrior assessment" he said softly it may be a dark time for the camp, but if I can get Ripplepaw a warrior before the kits become apprentices then I'm sure we'll have strong cats. After all Ripplepaw has been an apprentice foe quite a few moons he thought to himself and watched as Ripplepaw nodded and ran off.

Treepelt and Flowerheart walked out of camp and began to head to the moon cavern. They walked silently across the grass as they crossed PineClan territory.
