Treepelt dipped his head respectfully "thank you" he meowed before
seeing Starlight "well I do have a question for you" he added in a
low whisper so the randomly appearing warrior couldn't hear "I was
wondering if you'd like to be deputy. I've seen how hard you've
battled, and you go on patrols without complaining. I think you'd
be the best choice" he finished.
"It's alright I know how exciting it can be to be a deputy" he said
softly "and I'm sure Featherstar would have agreed with my
decision" he finished with a nod.
Treepelt looked over to Featherstar's body in the center of camp.
There were a few apprentices and warriors including his apprentice,
Ripplepaw, sitting silently next to the body. "It was her green
cough it was to strong for her, and Flowerheart must have found her
dead while we all slept." He said in a low, and sad sigh he still
scented catmint, and comfrey in the air.
StarLStarLight looked Featherstar's body "leader...I'm so sorry for
that but we must go on" she told. In fact she really didn't care
about Featherstar death
Treepelt nodded in agreement with the cat's statements. He then
replied softly "I hope she finds a warm place to sleep, and plenty
of prey to land in her paws in StarClan." He mewled and got to his
paws he then sat next to Flowerheart and Featherstar to start his
vigil.
Treepelt sat in the dim light of the rising sun in vigil for his
fallen leader. He looked at the fading stars in the sky as he did
so I wonder which one is Featherstar he thought to himself
silently.
(This isn't based on the books. It's a story I'm working on..also
no offense, but could you try and type a bit easier to read. I have
to do a double take on some of your posts. No offense)
Treepelt looked over to Thunderclaw before pointing with his tail
to Featherstar's body. Ripplepaw then whispered to the warrior
"Featherstar passed away in her sleep. He's doing a silent vigil
right now" he said sadly and looked st Featherstar. Treepelt nodded
a thanks to his apprentice before looking at the fading stars
again.
Treepelt nodded a thanks without looking away from the sky. He was
starting to see the last of the night stars fade, and the sun rise.
Flowerheart got to her paws, and walked to the elders den silently
she then whispered to Treepelt "you should announce the deputy so
we can leave for the moon cavern as soon as we can" she meowed
gently, "I'll gather some elders, and bury Featherstar" she
finished before walking to the elder's den. Treepelt then nodded
and got to his paws, he looked at Featherstar once more before
jumping back up to the high cliff.
