Rowans Quest Clicklist
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Rowans Quest ClicklistWhy I want this personally: Basically am sick of losing these quests, sometimes by less than ten levels. Professor Oaks pokemon gain a level each hour so defeating him requires raising Rowans pokemon past level 168. I only missed one day and still got buried - then Professor Rowan acts as if I didn't even try. None of us can succeed by ourselves on these quests so why not have a quick, easy way to both gain help from and provide help to others in the same boat? Not all of us live on this site. Not all of us have x2 days happen during the quest, a massively active friendlist, a stash of rare candies to use, a stash of rare items to raffle off or luck getting on the index page. So a quest-exclusive type clicklist could be useful.
Other benefits I imagine:
-Hopefully, less frustration from players overall - especially those on Rowans Quests.
-More actual interacting = less need to spam people with reminders to interact.
-Perhaps having such a clicklist could reduce the need to have the quest pokemon in the active party?
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Many people do not have large friend bases from which to draw support so quests are a bad experience for them when interaction and experience are needed. Having a clicklist for quests would afford everyone a more equal chance of being successful.
Only a certain number of people being able to interact with a Pokemon per hour?
Question for me?
However... There are 84K+ registered users on this site. Even if only half that amount was actually active here on regular basis then it seems like raising any pokemon - especially a non-legendary pokemon - 168 levels over the course of week wouldn't be a problem, right? The fact that we are struggling with the quests is an indication of many things. Maybe there's less than 500 regularly active players on this site. Maybe the Active User click list doesn't get much attention from a significant portion of those players. Or maybe people stuck with quests AREN'T able to be on the Active User click list all that much due to having real lives.
The point is - adding this click list would be helpful but it wouldn't guarantee anything. Because players may or may not use it. So honestly I don't really feel that any additional limits would be needed.
Also, just for the record, the whole "would simplify an existing feature" argument was made against the Friendlist Clicklist before that was implemented. And yes, you know what, that IS exactly the point. I don't WANT to have to even try to click the whole site just to find all the people stuck with quests. Give me a shortcut to find them and I will use it - whether or not anyone else does.

I thought about doing it myself for quite some time now, but never knew where to put it. Instead I dug up the #BeatingOak Hashtag and tried helping people through it. :)
I absolutely agree with your point that not all people have all the time to be on here or the necessary number of active friends to beat Oak.
I also think the whole "I make a raffle so people feed my Pokémon"-thing is even worse than providing people with a Clicklist to help if they want to.
With raffles the focus is put on specific Pokémon who'll most certainly win, whereas everyone without raffle/friends/time gets ignored and certainly loses.
A clicklist like this would make all interactions equal for all those trying to win the Quest and thus make this challenge more fair for all participants.
Besides: I don't think it'd be that hard to implement as every Quest Pokemon has the Obtained tag "Borrowed from Prof Rowan" (and OT Rowan), even if that would also include the Egg-Quest Rowan gives you at some point, but that's not a bad thing.

now that I've got all of them finished, I wouldn't mind helping other people manage it at all, and it would be a LOT easier if there was a clicklist for it.
Writing, knitting, and Pokemon are my thing! Right now I'm still working on setting up something to show off my Pokemon knits, and I'm still working on getting my biggest writing project ready, but if you want to check out what I do have you can visit me here: https://www.fanfiction.net/u/3828354/Dragonmoon388
