Espy nodded and pulled her knees up to her chest. She rolled onto her side, hoping to fall asleep. Her nose twitched and she sniffed, smelling the scent of home. It engulfed her, filling her with empty calories.

Kain sat down on the couch closing his eyes, and falling into a deep sleep almost as soon as he closed his eyes. He woke up back in his house 'Am I dreaming?' he thought, he saw his mother's corpse staring at him. "You'll pay for what you've done." it screeched. It pounced on him, slamming onto the floor. He struggled, reaching into his pocket took his knife, and swiftly- he woke up, on his feet with his knife in his hands. He stood there in silence, he was in a position to kill. He relaxed his body, sheathing the knife.

Stella gave the tree one last scrape and turned back into a human. "Oh, hey." she said when she saw the... Shapeshifting dragon people.

"So, where do we 'flee' to? Is this far enough?" Xandra asked.

"How would I know?" Stella snapped.

Maybe I can take this ridiculous hat off under the trees' cover.[i] Xandra thought.

"I'm going to climb a tree and get a better view." Stella said, becoming a cat. [i]And to those that think cats always get stuck in trees, I can be a human too, so shut your mouths! she thought, starting to climb the tree.

Espy jumped as Kain moved to stand in his sleep, grazing her with his knife as he unsheathed it. Once he opened his eyes, she stood and looked at him in worry and slight fear. "Kain? Kain, what's wrong?!" She asked frantically. Grabbing his hands in hers, she stared at him sadly and concern was laced within her irises. Black blood trickled down her arm and she grit her teeth a bit.

He'd realized what he he'd done. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry Esp.." he took a step back. "It was just a bad dream, that's all.." he added, quite surprised at what he had done. He put his sheathed knife in his pocket "Do you have any bandages? Or perhaps a first aid kit anywhere?" he asked.

"No, Kain, it's fine. You didn't mean to... I'll go patch it up." Espy said, shaking her head. She let his hands go, and headed to the bathroom. She opened the medicine cabinet and pulled out a white box with the words 'First Aid' written across the sides. She opened it and took out a disinfecting wipe, clean her arm. She winced as it burnt her, but she wrapped a bandage around it and pulled down her sleeve.

Stella clawed her way to the top of the tree. I'm on top of the world! she thought. She saw lots of houses and stuff, but nothing too important. You know what? I'll leave the others. I don't need help. They could be out to kill me for all I know. she thought, bounding over to the next treetop. I know my pride is getting the better of me. I know I'm going to regret this. I don't even know why I'm still doing it, but... Maybe it's cuz I'm a dreamseer and I can't change fate.

Stella was taking an awfully long time up there. I hope she's alright. I couldn't bear to lose my only- Oh, yeah, there are mind readers. she thought.

"What's taking her so long? I'm going up there to see." Xandra said, leaping onto a branch and speedily making it to the top.

Stella turned and saw Xandra. Startled, she leaped across a few trees and hopped out of the tree, landing on all fours. Then she headed for the nearest house, although she didn't know who was there.

"Ugh.. I'm such an idiot.." Kain growled "Why did I do that.." he paused "it was because of that stupid old hag.. wasn't it?" he spat. He balled his fists, as if he was about to punch something. He took a deep breath, then exhaled. She's perfectly fine, it's just a scratch Kain. Calm down. Calm down. You aren't supposed to get worked up like this. he thought. You're a killer. A killer. A cold-blooded killer, this comes naturally. So why did he feel so angry with himself?

"What are you doing? Come back!" Xandra yelled, before taking off after Stella.

She's so fast! Eep! Is that her power? Agility? Stella thought as she rushed towards the house. She saw two people inside the house when she jumped up to the windowsill. Hurriedly, she meowed and clawed at the window. One of them is wounded. I should be fine.

(Just in case you couldn't realize, Stella is at the hose where Kain and Espy are xD)
