"Even though I ran away from home.. well, I wouldn't say 'ran away'.. more like I can't go back there. Ever." Kain said "There's something really strange Esp. Like.. I cut my finger off, and it'll grow back. I have these crazy regeneration powers." He added "I swear to God I haven't gone crazy, trust me on this." He didn't know if she'd believe him. He knew what he saw, or maybe he was just hallucinating, it has been a while since he'd had a proper meal.

Kain fell silent for a couple of moments, standing there with Espy behind his back "How are you with blood?" he asked, awaiting for her response. It was a bizarre question to ask. "If you come along, you're going to have to be strong, mentally and emotionally." He added. "A lot has changed, Esp. I've changed." before he scared her he smiled "But, y'know.. I've been gone for a few years.. so of course I've changed. Besides, mind if I crash at your place for a bit? I don't know what your mother would say though." he smirked.

"To be honest, I think she'd have my head mounted on her wall." he joked. "Espiana! What're you doing, bringing a man home with you! This is outrageous!" he did his best to mimic Mrs. Folin's voice.

"Oh... Yeah..." Espy let go of Kain and let out a very fake laugh. She looked at him with a smile, but the grin didn't reach her eyes. The green orbs held sadness that she couldn't mask if she tried. She nodded, grabbing her old friend's hand, leading to him to her house sluggishly.
