Adept's Gardens

Walking down the streets of Roarhaven, you spot a battered old building. Walking towards it, there is a young girl, about thirteen, sitting on a bench outside. Spotting you, the girl smiled, leaping up from her seat. "hi! Are you here to see the Adepts?" She asked. "Of course you are, how silly of me. Why else would you be here?" Taking your hand, the girl pulls you towards the building. You try to explain that you're just looking around, but the girl ignores you and opens the door. Walking in, you gasp. Inside, it looks brand new, cyan blue walls with a tiled floor. Many people are walking around, chatting with each other. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself! My name's Valkyrie Cain, but you can call me Val." The girl said. "Common, I want you to meet Kari. She's going to Tell you our rules and what Adepts are. I pretty sure you know them, but just in case, We'll show you." Stopping in front of a door, Valkyrie knocked, and there was a fiat. "Come in." Walking though the door, you find yourself inside an office. A woman, maybe 20 years old, was sitting behind the desk. Smiling warmly, she gestured for you to take a seat. "Don't worry, I don't bite." She laughed. "i'm Kari, and I am the head of security here. I want to welcome you to the Sanctuary, where we keep track of small critters named Adepts. Here, take a look at these." Handing you three sheets of paper, Kari sat quietly, waiting for you to finish reading.

Giving the papers back to Kari, you thank her and exit the office. "So, where now? or do you wnat me to lead you somewhere?" Valkyire asked. "Lead on." you say, following Valkyrie. She leads you to an exhibition area, where multiple creatures, the only thing in common was they were all wearing goggles somewhere. a large board lists the names of these creatures.

You walk past a room, where there is a crowd of people. a raised platform was on the far side of it. A very well dressed man was on top, taking bids. "Alright. we've got one Kamaya up for bids, all white. Starting bid is 5K. anyone?" He yelled. "10K for the Kamaya" Someone yelled. "15K" On and on it went, until the man yelled. "Sold at 45K to the man with the Pikachu hat." Valkyrie tapped your shoulder. "That's the auction room." She explained. "Adepts are Sold there. "It's one of the ways to get an Adept."

Finally, Valkyrie stops at the end of the hallway. Behind her is a pair of double doors. "Ready to meet the maker of the Adepts?" She asked. You nod, and Valkyrie keys in the code in the keypad and pushed the doors wide open. A blast of freezing air caches you off guard. "Come in quickly. Tanith doesn't like it when people open the doors. it lets the cold out and the heat in." Valkyrie said urgently. Stepping into the room, the doors slammed shut. The lights flicked on and you see whole racks of googles, all neatly stacked. Moving further into the refrigerated room, the goggles started turning into gars of colored smoke. When you ask what it is, Valkyrie relies with "Whisps." Reaching the center of the labyrinth, there is a tall blond girl, sitting on the ceiling. "Tanith." Valkyrie called. "We have a costumer." The blonde, Tanith looked at them and smiled. "I'll be there in a jiffy." She shouted back, standing up and walking along the ceiling, down the wall and back onto solid ground. "Magic." She said, walking towards the desk and looked there. "So, what do you want? Oh, I know! Custom made Adepts, transferring a whisp into a pair of goggles, or looking for a good deal on Adepts? I got the ting for you."
