These guys are all around awesome and need more love! They are the rarest type (tied with Fairy) after all, with only 34 of them as of generation 6.
Seriously. Look at these pokes.
And with pokedex entries like these?

Spiritomb: A Pokémon that was
formed by 108 spirits. It is bound to a fissure in an Odd Keystone.
(108 spirits! that's a lot!!!)
Gengar: It hides in shadows. It is said that if Gengar is hiding, it cools the area by nearly 10 degrees F. (never need air conditioning ever again)
Golurk: It is said that Golurk were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them. (basically people MADE a ghost)
Drifblim: It's drowsy in daytime, but flies off in the evening in big groups. No one knows where they go. (no one knows where they go)
Mismagius: Its cries sound like incantations. Those hearing it are tormented by headaches and hallucinations. (don't take them to karaoke night)
Chandelure: It absorbs a spirit, which it then burns. By waving the flames on its arms, it puts its foes into a hypnotic trance. (burns a spirit, how cool is that)
Dusclops: Dusclops's body is completely hollow - there is nothing at all inside. It is said that its body is like a black hole. This Pokémon will absorb anything into its body, but nothing will ever come back out. (oh my goodness gracious)
Sableye: Sableye lead quiet lives deep inside caverns. They are feared, however, because these Pokémon are thought to steal the spirits of people when their eyes burn with a sinister glow in the darkness. (gendo ikari eat your heart out)
Jellicent: The fate of the ships and crew that wander into Jellicent's habitat: all sunken, all lost, all vanished. (bermuda triangle is so last year)
Froslass: It freezes prey by blowing its -58 degree F breath. It is said to then secretly display its prey. (it will freeze things dead then leave them on your doorstep <3 )
Shedinja: A discarded bug shell that came to life. Peering into the crack on its back is said to steal one's spirit. (how did it come to life? MYSTERIOUS)
You best be believing if you cross them, or the trainer of one of them, you're not going to like the consequences!
Basically, they're capable of terrifying things but if you catch one you have a loyal friend for life! (And you want to stay on their good side, right? ;D )

Oh, you.
Time and space? L. O. L. Forget that. This guy can travel through dimensions AT WILL. 'Nuff said.
How many legendaries have their very own happy fun place? Not many, I'll tell you that. Giratina does though!

WELCOME TO THE DARK CARNIVAL, BROTHER.
Up is down, down is up, sideways is every which way! This joint is mad crazy, yo.

What kind of moves do they have?

Moves you don't want to be attacked
by, that's what kind. Many of them are status, all of them meant to
either scare you, or suck your hp or ability to fight dry, all of
them with 100% hit accuracy!!! SCARY!
Astonish: The user attacks the target while shouting in a startling fashion. It may also make the target flinch.
Destiny Bond: When this move is used, if the user faints, the Pokémon that landed the knockout hit also faints.
Grudge: If the user faints, the user's grudge fully depletes the PP of the opponent's move that knocked it out.
Lick: The target is licked with a long tongue, causing damage. It may also leave the target with paralysis.
Night Shade: The user makes the target see a frightening mirage. It inflicts damage matching the user's level.
Nightmare: A sleeping target sees a nightmare that inflicts some damage every turn.
Shadow Force: The user disappears, then strikes the target on the second turn. It hits even if the target protects itself.
Shadow Punch: The user throws a punch from the shadows. The punch lands without fail
Shadow Sneak: The user extends its shadow and attacks the target from behind. This move always goes first.

Agatha! Holy cow this lady is hardcore. She's got a hair-trigger temper and she will not hesitate to stomp you flat because she is the oldest Kanto Elite Four member. She probably eats nails for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also probably fought pokemon battles with dinosaurs (and made them go extinct).
Morty! ~ Mystic Seer of the Future ~ This cutie is pretty much a walking item finder. Not only is he gym leader of Ecruteak City, he studies the towers and legends associated with it, and is basically a genius on everything there (and a saint for putting up with Eusine, that suicune-chasing bum). He teaches classes about ghost pokemon, educating the general public and spreading the love for them and also he's got like all the tower ghosties wrapped around his fingers because he is just that awesome.
Phoebe! Another Elite Four member, this time of Hoenn, proving that ghost pokemon are formidable foes. A total babe who can communicate with her ghost pokemon! You have to be pretty dedicated to be able to do that, and it takes a brave person to dare enter the mind of a ghosty!
Fantina! When she first sees you, she pretty much says haha no I'm not going to battle you you silly little dear you need to get STRONGER. Gym leader of Hearthome City, Fantina doesn't want to battle anyone she thinks she's going to straight-out pummel. No, she wants a CHALLENGE, and by golly if you're not going to give it to her then you can forget even stepping foot into her gym.
Shauntal! BOOK NERRRRRD. Yeah, but seriously. This sweetheart can battle with the best of them, because guess what? Unova ELITE FOUR member, aw yeah! She writes books about bonds with pokemon which obviously she understands, because when you do manage to defeat her, what's the first thing she does? She apologizes to her pokemon! That's love right there.
Also there are Channelers and Mediums. Total crazies!

Where do these pokemon hang out when they're not straight up scaring the everloving wits out of you?
So, all fans of ghost pokemon are welcome, even if it's not your most favorite type!
What's your favorite ghost pokemon?
What's your favorite ghost type move?
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer?
What's your favorite haunted location in the games?
Or just natter on about anything else as long as it's ghost pokemon related, friendly, and within site rules! Theories? Thoughts? Anything I may have forgotten that needs to be added? Go for it!
Want people to know you LOVE ghost pokemon? Give a holla!
Giratina, in its Altered Forme! Giratina is kind of cute, in my opinion, and it's ridiculously cool! It changes Forme based on the gravity around it, it lives in my favorite in-game location of all time, and it has wings that can change shape!
Haunter is in second, because it's also really cute.
Froslass follows closely because I once used her in a Pokémon Contest role-play with a friend. I kept using all of these epic combination moves! When you combine Ghost attacks with an Ice-type, you can make some pretty cool combinations.
I also like Mow Rotom, because when I first got the Secret Key, I put my Rotom into all of the appliances, and I liked Mow Forme the most. I've been attached to Mow Rotom ever since!
What's your favorite ghost type move?
That would probably be Shadow Sneak. In HG/SS, I kept losing to Morty because of how fast his Gengar was, and it kept putting my team to sleep before I could damage it. Shortly afterward, I traded in my Arceus to do the event in the Ruins of Alph. I picked Giratina, and my special Shade won by using the increased-priority, super-effective Shadow Sneak. It was an epic win.
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer?
It would probably have to be Morty, because he has a cool design and he's awesome in Pokémon Adventures. He found someone a Girafarig that they had been separated from years ago, and he did it by request! He literally stayed up all night, standing on a rock, trying to use his vision powers to find it. I highly doubt that anyone else is nice enough to do that.
What's your favorite haunted location in the games?
If the Distortion World counts, it wins by a landslide. If not, probably either Pokémon Tower - because of the cute-looking sprites for the GHOSTs - or the Old Chateau - because Diamond was my first ever Pokémon game that I played through to the end, and I also love Rotom.
EDIT: Oh, and Ghost is by far my favorite type.
EDIT 2: I must seem really weird because I find Giratina and the GHOST sprite cute. In case you haven't figured it out, I find a lot of unusual things cute.
What's your favorite ghost type move? Shadow Force. Oh no where's Giratina! One of the only 2 turn vanishing moves. Along with fly and dig. Nothing stops it. Twister hurts flying pokemon, and earthquake does x2 damage.
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer? Phoebe.
What's your favorite haunted location in the games? Lavender town. But the Lavender Town Syndrome is fake...just sayin.
And ghost is one of my favorite types, 1st is water/psychic, 2nd is fire/dragon and 3rd is ghost.
*hollers* I LOVE Ghost Pokémon!
What's your favorite ghost pokemon?
Yamask, Frosslass and Haunter are my favorites. I don't think I could pick just one.
What's your favorite ghost type move?
Curse and Destiny Bond~
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer?
Shauntal~
What's your favorite haunted location in the games?
Lavender Town, but Mt Pyre as well~
What's your favorite ghost pokemon? I just made it clear :3 Misdreavaus and Mismagus. LOOK AT DEH HAPPEY FACIE.
What's your favorite ghost type move? Shadow Ball.
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer? Agathia. Definatly.
What's your favorite haunted location in the games? I'm a Kanto Born, so Lavender Town :D
My favorite attack would be night shade. I love how it looks in the video games.
Since my first game was in the Kanto region, my favorite ghost type trainer would be Agatha.
Again since Kanto was my first region, my favorite haunted location in the games would be Lavender Town. I love the creepy music and the little girl that's just outside the tower creeps it out a little. lol.
I love it!
Please help in growing the Gengar kingdom by clicking my Gastlys/Haunters in my Gengar army box. :D This one pictured is my baby. He is the leader of all the Gengars! And the one next to him is a commander of the army. Someone has to keep all those Gastlys in check!
(On a side note, I need helping with evolving my Haunters ^^)
Attack is definitely Giratina's special one, Shadow Force~ Now you see me, now you don't! Where am I? ATTACKIN' YOU! >D
Fav. Ghostie trainer is definitely Unova's Miss Elite Four~
Fav. haunted spot is Lavender town. Have you heard that theme? CREEPY~
I think this is generally on subject, but the Pokemon Black hack (this was pre the actual Black game, it was a hack of Fire Red). Dear sweet Arceus, I WANT it! *table flip*
^By uranianUmbra, sprite by MikanRin^
Like Gijinkas? How 'bout some twisted science? Perhaps even apocalyptic vibes? Yes? Then you should check out my fan fic : The End We Wrought
I like Gengar, and then pretty much all of the Ghost types. They look awesome with glowing eyes and smirks...
Ghost is my second favourite, with Dragon first and Fire third.
What's your favorite ghost type move? Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball. Shadow Force as well, considering I got a DW ability Giratina for my White 2 game.
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer? Shauntal. She reminds me of myself, in a book-ish way.
What's your favorite haunted location in the games? Celestial Tower. I'm really fond of ringing the bell...
I was going to take Giratina as my username, if not for the fact it got taken. >.<
-I like pianos. And bee2. Haha, I'm kidding. I do like pianos though. And Klavier Gavin, though that's kinda irrelevent.
-According to the Homestuck God Tier Test, I'm a Heir of Doom.

Well.
What's your favorite ghost type move? ~ Astonish. It's just like "SUP DUDE WHAT'S HAPPENIN"
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer? ~ Shauntal. She reminds me of a certain character from Corpse Party.
What's your favorite haunted location in the games? ~ Pokemon Tower, bby. Hit up da old skool in heeeere.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed that there was no epic ghost type battle in Pokemon Y/X, just a fake/not fake haunted house. I used to love battling ghost vs ghost type in the gym and NOTHING. It's like they replaced my epic ghost battle with fairy, which I don't mind the "new" type but I want my Ghost type.
Also I love and forever will be slightly haunted by Lavender Town, let's exclude the whole creepy pasta about the music in that town it was just spooky on its own! The thought of Pokemon actually dying instead of just fainting as a kid scared me, took a good chunk out of my innocence. But it made me love ghost types even more because even though they are "dead" they are still living in terms of emotion and dedication to their trainers.
Some people seem to brush passed these tortured souls or skip over them to hunt for prettier looking Pokemon. But I'll always love my spooky misunderstood brethren and sisteren Pokemon.
What's your favorite ghost type move? Destiny Bond, and I don't even know why xD
Who's your favorite ghost type trainer? Fantina, since she was the first one I ever saw :3
What's your favorite haunted location in the games? The Old Chateau, you can probably guess why :L
For some reason, the Lavender Town music doesn't scare me at all....In fact, sometimes it makes me fall asleep! It's pretty soothing to me, actually xD And I was a part of the group of kids that got kinda freaked that Pokemon died ;w;
I'm just waiting for a Ghost Eeveelution :p
I have hope that I'll soon be a glorious haunted house, a place where ghost types can live harmoniously and relax in their natural environment.
