Thread Subscriptions
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Rejected → Thread SubscriptionsFor examples in fanfictions (I have made one), we do not know how many of them like our stories. If we do, we could make possible changes.
But still I don't see any feasible reasons for the denial, although this is for only some users who are interested in knowing (I'm one), not all.

I'm not against this idea in terms of "oh this sucks it's bad for the site" but I just don't see the overall point of it other than showing fans of some of the fanfic stories.
I say if it's just for fanfics ask for people to PM you their support or feedback, that way you can get responses and see criticism without having to have someone develop a whole new section of the forums to see who subscribed.

Like I mentioned before if it's just for fanfics just write a post saying "PM me your thoughts or critic or if you're a fan" instead of asking for a new feature to be made. After all we should try to solve problems for ourselves before making someone else go out of their way to.
Trade threads would have this useful as well. (Though it might be messy to work out if you have a lot of subscribers)
Fanfics would be useful as well.
And whose to say it wouldn't be useful for bugs and complaints? If you could see how many people subscribe to those threads, it could give more of an idea of how many people agree or have the problem but who don't post.
The only issue with this, that I can see, is where would the number for the subscriber count go?
Actually it'd help in general, if a number is given. Like, how many people is interested in your contest, raffle, trade thread/breeding shop, art/sprite shop, suggestion, fanfic, RP and maybe even clans, since some clans take out of their members list people who haven't posted in x time, so in this case it'd help having the names of the people so you could check more or less who haven't been active.
But yes I completely support the idea.
It'd be good to see at least the number of subscribers to a thread. Maybe not everyone's names, to protect their privacy, but I think it'd be a good idea to have some kind of feature somewhere. For some it might be a good feature, for others it could be just a way to satisfy their curiosity.
Well, I support, because I am a leader of some groups, and I want to see if the members really did subscribe or not.
