Zion growled as he heard the other sound. Zion pulled out a knife from his side pouch he had stolen from some animal. Zion held the knife in his mouth facing the side and growled "come on mater! And that's what you call not trying that's stupid!"

Mater smiled. "I have Mark 5 armor plating. Do you honestly think a mere knife can cause me any harm. Hardly. And I wasn't trying." he said. He super-charged the Canon and put more power into his energy sword. Suddenly all his joints grew spikes and his visor turned orange with a Heads Up Display. "Attack/Defense mode initiated." he growled. "Now I'm trying."

Zion sat down and barked "ugh I never said you were trying and I don't think that a knife could kill you but it can hurt you!" Zion stood up and hit his head gear in the face. Zion smirked as he stuck the kinds in deeper and he let go and bit his back neck not caring about the spikes and held on.

Mater smiled again, running a finger down the scratches on his neck. "Not that bad." He muttered. "They tested Plasma weapons on me and I survived. I suppose the regeneration tissues will kick in soon." He saw the humans and charged his Plasma Canon again.

(Okay, I've decided that this is what Mater will look like in Battle Mode. You can see the Plasma Canon. This is what his Energy Sword looks like.)

She saw Mater charge the Plasma Canon. Linnea had a few seconds to think. She pushed Auraora and took the hit. Her side was bleeding heavily as she was now lying on the ground. "R-run..." She managed to choke out with the last of her energy.
