I do support that idea.
I was once under a big tension lending my ditto and legendary birds to a user that I do not know...(relying on the words of a close friend that that user will not scam me)
But on the other side it wont be good for the site being as Dcasom mentioned...so maybe the borrowed pokemon can be locked for trading/releasing/selling and filling the pokedex slots...if so lets handle it to Riako and wait

Actually, this was going to be one of its uses. The purpose would be defeated if it doesn't fill pokedex slots.

Sounds interesting. But if the borrowing thing were to work, would borrowed pokemon in the daycare be automatically whooshed out?

The Feature is one that will make Pokeheroes easy. Too Easy
There's a reason why people collect gems and lab hunt. They may want a ditto, or they may want a Legendary Bird. It may be as simple as Filling up their dex. Now. Let me elaborate on the latter.
With Borrowing in place, could fill all my Dexes in a snap. Everyone in this site will have all their dexes complete. Mind you dex completion doesn't require you to keep the Pokemon after you are done with them. The Site will become a set of users lending and a set of users borrowing. People will eventually lose interest and only a minority will remain.
Also, Same concern as @fuzzyirulz. Also, what if the borrower/lender gets banned. How does that work?

BUT
I might be supportive if there may be a limit to borrow. For example, you can't borrow more than 1 pokemon at a time. You can't borrow another pokemon unless this Pokemon has been returned. A limit of 1 DAY for the borrowing. Cannot borrow specific Pokemon etc.
