i think people should keep the flashy stuff out of their signature anyways, whether signatures are enabled or disabled :p a lot of people keep useful links in their signature that they hope will be clicked, and one person with a flashy and useless gif in their signature shouldn't ruin this for everyone else - what's the point of keeping links to handy pages in my signature if others are just going to turn signatures off because of one person?

The main suggestion was an option to hide your own signiture when posting, or making a new thread :3

Ah I misunderstood this as well Toothless, apologies but just the same if this were going to be implemented it might as well be to effect all signatures. AutumnStar however pointed out an interesting con to that, how it would reduce Pokemon clicks via signatures.
Ironically it had crossed my own mind to just forbid large, flashy signature images though I believe that is not what Toothless's concern is. I believe what she is saying is that she finds any and all signature images a bother in her Diary.

It's our choice whether we want to click them or not. I rarely click them, anyway. I'm not saying that's the only reason why, but what I did mean by that was that, let's say a rule was made against flashy stuff in sigs, but somebody broke it anyway. That means, by the time a staff member removes it, epileptic people and others will have to just ignore it OR they can have the option to hide that specific sig/hide all in general.

By the way, Sturmtochter's was the first to suggest that, not Mushroom and I.

and/but it would be a very nice start if there were a limit for the actual size of the pictures.
it's quite hard to see a post with only one sentence just to have to scroll a lot to get to the next post.

It is a nice option so I'll support it but there should also be a limit size of images in the signature, I saw many images that were much much bigger/longer then most posts in this forums

I basicly don't support because signatures are there for a reason if you don't want one in your posts don't make one, disabling it in a post is stupid to me , but flashy GIFs shouldn't be allowed, same with links that lead to flashy images/videos/GIFs
