No support from me.
I wouldn't mind if this was an option only to people who prove that they don't feel okay with any gender, but it can be easily abused. (i.e. gender faking for trolling..)

When I talk to someone I like to know whether they are boys or girls (even though I can't be sure anymore because of the option of changing your gender, so anybody's gender can be faked), and I really don't think there is anything wrong with it (leaving aside people I mentioned above).

Anyway, if someone tries to flirt with you or even worse, harass you, "block" and "report" buttons do exist, just use them.

I would say it should be decidable for everybody by themself. Since there will always be people who want it displayed and thoose who don't want it to be shown for everybody.

I support this! Everyone else who supports this has already raised the points I want to say, so I won't repeat them.

Definitely support. As someone who is agendered, I hate having to be forced to go with a female icon, when I don't see myself as female.
I am looking to trade most things I have for Pokefarm Q stuff!

support. I probably wouldn't use this myself but plenty of people prefer they/them pronouns, or simply don't want to show their gender. Honestly, i don't have much to add on-lots of other people have explained why this would be useful.

Quote from RaaynaNo support... I dont see the point in hiding your gender. And people may use that as an advantage to fake their gender.

Yeah. Have a nice day^^

I think this is a good idea. Some users don't identify as a gender so this would be an improvement. But it could also open the user up to bullying. But then this is a good, clean site for the most part so I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. And most people who want to hide their gender have their reasons. But yeah total support.

Full support !

Alot of reasons was already stated , i myself would prefer others to call me Them/They but they always call me She/Her and i was forced to get used it so its kinda annonying.
Plus about the bullying part: Atleast we will get bullies away from this site by reporting them.

Full and total support! There are people on this site, *yes* on this site too, that are both or neither, including everything in between. Not everyone feels comfortable having to chose one or the other. People who are Trans*, Genderfluid, Agender, etc. should have the option of feeling comfortable on this site.

There are also people who prefer not releasing personal information, including gender. *Everyone* should be able to feel comfortable.

Support. I myself won't use this, but I do know people who are pretty uncomfortable with showing their gender. But, to prevent abuse, maybe a kind of timer like the username change could be implemented? Like, change gender every x days. While the timer won't really make the feature abuse disappear and it might inconvenience the genderfluid, but at least it will help curb the abuse.

Title: No support ( sorry)

Its a waste of Riako's time i mean this is not a dating game (from what i heard i am kinda new here) so people may know your gender or preferances the gender doesn't even matter this game its about pokemons getting shinys completing the pokedex etc Riako should use his time to do useful things like implementing new legends , event pokemons alola pokemons and clear bugs not to mention that this will start a lot of unecessary attention or a lot of bullying

Full support!! Great idea, I hate being a girl here but don't wanna be a guy as well. A symbole for "something else" and a option for "hide it completely " would be great for ether those feeling something else than make female or for those feeling compeletly unable to identify with once gender or just don't wanna show theirs to prevent hate from users who don't understand such things.

Very good idea!!
They/them pronouns please

Quote from Riako
There will be several small updates to the community part of this site, including Friends-only feeds and the ability to hide your gender. I strongly support privacy rights and I will continue to give everyone the power to control what information/content they want to share publicly.

Well, Riako did say it was gonna be implemented, and some people (like moi) feel kinda insecure about showing their gender, or maybe they don't think of themselves as male of female, so support!

Maybe you don't know that PH have a active Community, with peoples that talk a lot on feeds, and that know each others as friends.

I don't see why it would cause any drama, if there is drama it's not the fault of the one who choose to hide his gender, but the one who decide to cause trouble honestly.

It's not a waste of time, it's not for nothing that a lot of site do that.
