Camp Half-Blood and the House of Life *Open and Accepting!*
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Camp Half-Blood and the House of Life *Open and Accepting!*As Callie's uneasiness influenced her powers greatly, her surroundings began to blur, the Mist slowly distorting and masking reality. "S-something, eh?" Callie inhaled deeply. "Last time you guys talked about "something," the Titan war started. Enlighten me."
With a complex magic spell plus some muttering in Latin and Ancient Greek, a plush red armchair popped out of the ground, and Callie promptly sat, staring back at the two older demigods with a look that seemed almost like defiance. She was probably taking a big risk, not answering they're oh-so-obvious question about her passing out like that.
Buying Normal Gems and Water Gems.
Chance was ready for the summer. He hadn't heard from his Grandpappy recently and that had him a little worried. The son of war didn't show it though. At the moment he was sitting in his cabin playing Dragon Age on the Xbox 360 he had bought on a trip outside of camp. He sat in a pair of red and black plaid sweatpants with a lack of a shirt. Basically Chance in a nutshell.
The boy was supposed to be out cleaning his gear, but he had gotten addicted to this game. It was amazing. He heard one of his siblings blasting some music down in the other dorm room. After the war the cabins had gotten so crowded with kids that they were redesigned to fit everyone. Every cabin was bigger on the inside. The possibility of the gods at their finest. Well, actually this was probably just an easy snap of just one of their fingers. Anyways, the music had begun to go in and out with loud voices. Chance paused his game and lowered the TV's sound. Loud voices, angry. What in the name of Neptune was going on out there?
Chance got up and looked out the door into the living room. Now, let it be explained that the Ares cabin is beyond a disaster. The most common things to come out of anyone's mouth here is asking,"Where's my pants?" and "Where's my bra?" Everyone's junk was all over the hallway and rooms. The fight going on out here though had nothing to do with that. It had to do with something much more stupid. A girl.
Now, don't get it wrong Chance was quite the lady's man, but that didn't mean he actually wished to start a fight over a chick. He would just finish it. That and he had a very short span of patience recently. Chance kept having these god awful dreams about snakes. They left him, him, a son of Ares, in a cold sweat each morning. It was really starting to mess with his emotions.
"Will you two cut it out!" Chance crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. The two boys who were about 13 maybe 14 stopped with practically their arms intertwined with each other. These two had actually started rather loud argument just the other day because of having the same crush. By this point a few others came out to find out what the noise was all about. "If I hear one more word about Callie between you two, I swear to Zeus himself, I will hang you two from the volcano rock wall by your toes in nothing but your fluffy my lil' pony underwear." The boys' faces paled. "So, I recommend you two go outside and fight this out or shut up before I have to take measures into my own hands."
"But-" One of the boys began to say, but the other elbowed him in the side. Smart kid.
Chance couldn't stay mad at the kids. He shook his head and took a deep breath. It was close to dinner time anyways. As the grandson of Mars and son of Ares his anger flares seemed to be worst than others, but he was raised by a man who was nothing but humor. It worked out for him. Sticking out his tongue at the kids he walked back to his room to save his game and put on a pair shoes. No shirt, still gets service.
With that he walked out of the cabin. He saw Percy, Annabeth, and speak of the devil Callie. Actually she was quite pretty... but that was despite the point. The actual point was that when the other two started talking with someone something was up. Playfully he came up behind Percy and as if he weighed nothing picked him up and threw him over his shoulder so Percy was facing upside down. "Well, look what we have here. Sorry Perc, thought ya looked at little waterlogged and may have needed a lift. Anyone up for some dinner, or is it just me?

Percy
Percy glared at Chance. He really wanted to slice him in half with Riptide but his stomach's complaints drowned out his anger. "Well, now that I think about it, I'm starving," he said, "So if you could get me rightside-up again I'd appreciate it." Plus, dinner was a good escape from telling Callie about the nightmares. He easily could have found another way out of it, though. "Oh, and Callie, do you have those armchairs in blue?" he asked, "It would make a pretty good addition to the Poseidon cabin." The voice that he had heard near the pine made its return. "Hey, look, people! Hello? You hear me?" it asked, "Could you give me a reason not to destroy this place? I really thought this was a monster camp or something." Percy noted that the voice had this weird edge of a British accent, while still being American... Another voice chimed in. "I told you so! It isn't full of monsters!" yelled the voice that really sounded like the chicken-man from Percy's nightmares.
('Tis short, but it was all that was needed.)
Callie made no reaction when a son of Ares popped out of seemingly nowhere and held Percy upside down. She had a complicated relationship with the war god's children. They held her with grudging respect (most likely due to the fact she could fight Clarisse and win), but were wary of her due to her magic. The Ares demigods respected strength, not sneaky tricks with sparkles (though Callie could argue it wasn't exactly that.) Also, she kept her distance from the opposite gender. They just unnerved her.
Callie nodded impassively to the still-upside-down Percy. "Not sure. I kind of summoned this chair from a mall in New York. It's possible. And wait, what, dinner? I haven't even had breakfast. Jeez, bad time to pass out."
She was vaguely aware that the sun was sinking, and mentally cursed her bad luck. Her rumbling stomach did not help matters.
The young daughter of Hecate, however, jumped at the sudden voices. What in the name of Zeus was going on? She listened intently to the two before carefully replying. "We're human, thank you very much!" She called. "Well, as human as we can be with gods as our parents," she added in an undertone, loud enough for the other demigods to hear but low enough for the random voices to not. Hopefully not.
This wasn't normal. At all. But something tugged at Callie's memory. How they could communicate through the camp borders...and how they referred to monsters, but didn't seem to know about Camp Half-blood or presumably demigods.
"No, Cal. Can't be."
"But what about-"
"NO. STOP THINKING ABOUT THAT."
Callie subconsciously began to finger her camp necklace. There were the usual beads for someone who had been at camp for almost six years...but there was one thing that stood out. A silver diamond ring that glittered brightly despite the dim light hung from her necklace. It wasn't ordinary as well - it was enchanted to channel the powers of the wearer. Any power, to be exact, including things such as wit and strength, as long as the wearer specialized in that. This certain ring, however, had been crafted skillfully by Beckendorf (Callie's heart squeezed at the thought of him. He had been like the big brother she had never had.) and enchanted by Callie specifically for one person alone.
Kane.
Kane
Kane Eversley felt his necklace grow warm. He immediately grabbed at the small emerald pendant which was glowing. It had been doing this more and more often. Kane was slowly regaining hope...maybe his sister was alive after all.

Buying Normal Gems and Water Gems.
"Yes, of course passing out probably wasn't a good idea to begin with." He crossed his arms and tried to look all tough and big. Not that wasn't hard being a tall buff War Child. None-the-less he was still a big teddy bear at heart, "You're okay. Right?"
His stomach growled and before he got an answer he heard the voices. Two kids. Two kids who happened to stumble upon Camp Half-Blood. Was that even possible?
He took a worried glance at Percy who at this point also had his head towards the two kids. Then back two the kids. His voice caught in his throat and his head felt light. The girl... she. No way. It had just been a dream. Yet, she seemed just like her. Chance shook his head to clear it and quickly headed over to them.
He took a good look at where they stood. No non-demigod or anyone for that manner ever just walked into camp without a satyr or armor on them. Even then, it was rare. "If you got in here... how? Speak your names and have no ill wish on this camp or anyone here or may the gods strike you where you stand."
Sadie
Sadie was really annoyed. "My name is Sadie, Sadie Kane. You heard of me? Maybe the gods mentioned me once or twice, I'm just that awesome." she said. Carter rolled his eyes. "My name's Carter," he said, "Unluckily for me, I'm her brother." They both knew what was coming next. That shock when people found out that they were siblings, considering how they were so different. "By the way," Sadie commented, "We're humans too. Maybe we can have a big 'human party'. Make sure to include Ginger Ale for Mr. Wikipedia here, though I'd prefer a Ribena. And I won't blow up your camp unless you try to kill us."
Percy
Despite the craziness of the situation, there was only one thing on Percy's mind. 'What is a Ribena?' "Make sure there's blue Coke at that party too," he suggested. Annabeth just facepalmed.
Chance watched them closely. Nearly ready to pounce if they said something. Yet, all they said were their name, Sadie Kane and Carter. At the mention of them being siblings he raised an eyebrow. Carter seemed, pretty down to earth, the girl on the other hand. In Chance's opinion she sat on a soap box that he would happily love to tear apart.
"Sorry, but unless you're Percy here, the son of the god of the whole fricken sea, gods don't go mentioning names." Oh Chance was going to have fun with this one. He knew he was going to get irritated by Carter's down low calm nature. Sons of Ares weren't normally known for their calmness, or their lack of temper, or their quiet nature. The list could easily go on.
Then the smart mouthed girl started back up. She had some spunk that could easily fit that of a child of war. The pride of one too. Humans... Okay something definitely was wrong. If anyone didn't just stumble upon the camp it was full-blooded humans. Chance put a smirk on his face and gave a sideways glance at Percy, Callie, and Annabeth. These two had no idea what they were in for. He then turned back to the two now known humans, "Yeah, let's all go have a 'human' party. Sounds like a blast. Oh gods, if my father is watching this right now he's getting one easy form of entertainment."
Chance took a glance back at the main part of camp up to the Mess Hall. His stomach growled, and his face lit up with a very fun, and semi-cruel, way to show the newcomers the camp. Dinner. Yes, let's show two humans what it is like to sit around 100s of demi-god children during meal time. That and it would be funny of how much it would be like their 'human' party in a demi-god camp.
"Well, I'm hungry, what everyone say we get some food?"
He found a decently wide space in some trees so he grabbed some dead branches and a few stones. He started setting the area for the fire. Draco then found some dead logs and he used them as chairs. He also gathered some grass to make a pillow to sleep on
Sadie
"Woah. Time out," said Sadie,"Son of a sea god? I know a bunch of river gods and all, but I don't know any gods of the sea. And if this guy was a son of Sobek or something he'd be snarling or trying to kill me or something. Of course, Carter and I would easily beat him." At this, Percy glared and got out Riptide, still in pen-form. "You know it's true," Sadie said smugly, "Oh yeah, forgot to tell you how we got in, with that force-field and all. Nice work, by the way. Took some time to manipulate it enough to let us in, without letting in some nasty monsters." Carter seemed annoyed, and he constantly tried to get a word in. "Ha-ri," he said finnally. The blue hieroglyph for 'Quiet' glowed above Sadie's head. She was silent, and hated it. "Better," said Carter approvingly, "We can go to dinner now, but I'll keep Sadie quiet. It's better that way, you know? Since you guys obviously aren't 'normal mortals' we'll fit right in."
Percy
That "Sadie" person was so annoying. If only she knew that he had saved the world. If only she knew. And "Sobek"? Who was that? And the glowy blue thing that was above Sadie's head weirded him out. Was it some kind of claiming symbol? Carter's reaction made it dawn on him that it was some kind of spell. Maybe Callie knew something about it?
