"But don't you... Don't you care?"
A reluctant tear stained her trembling cheek as he shrugged, expression blank.
"Care about what? Is there really anything worth caring about anymore?" He replied in a seemingly blasé tone.
Sara closed her eyes, fingernails digging into her palms. "You idiot! About me, about love, about... Us?"
Lifting his gaze to meet hers with a surprised look on his face, his mouth opened. But he never got the chance to speak, for the girl spun around and tore down the hallway, heels clicking against the tile. Tears streaming down her face now, she didn't stop sprinting until she had reached the door. Sara reached for the doorknob, but was stopped short as an arm looped around her waist. She gasped in surprise as Gamza pulled her closer to him. They're faces were inches apart now, and they felt suspended in time. Their breathing slowed, but their pulses quickened. It was perfect, but the spell broke as Sara slowly pulled back, turning away from him.
"Gamza... No, I have to leave," she firmly reminded both him and herself.
Slowly leaving his grasp, she exited the deserted building. Sarah rushed to her car, fumbling with the keys. Her vision blurred with tears, the heartbroken girl attempted to unlock her Nissan. She jumped a bit as Gamza appeared behind her, knocking the keys out of her hand. "I can't let you leave me again. I won't let you. Stay with me."
And then they were both run over by a bus. The end. ^.^ Bet you thought they were gonna kiss, didn't ya! :P
