Minor Updates
Forum-Index → News → Minor UpdatesQoL Update: When attempting to use more than 5,000 Power Orbs on a hatched Pokémon, the site will now warn you first and ask for confirmation.
This does not apply to eggs, as spending large amounts of power orbs is usually intended - and limited anyway by the amount of remaining steps to hatch.
Various updates/fixes:
Settings re-organisation:
The different types of "settings" have been reorganised in the main navigation. There no longer are different pages for all types of settings, but instead they've been grouped into "Account settings" (formerly "Profile Settings"), "Gameplay Settings" (formerly "Misc. Settings), "Profile Page Settings" and "Site Appearance Settings" (formerly "Layout Settings").
Most settings (avatar, forum/PM signature, country, premium settings/banner ...) have been moved to "Account settings".
Profile polls and contact links can now be created directly on the "Profile Page Settings" page. Just click on the respective edit-buttons.
I hope it's all self-explanatory, though it might need some getting-used-to. ... Also: The settings navigation tab now looks a bit awkward, I know, but that is subject to change in the future as well.
This refactoring update should make it more organised in the long run and also allows adding new options/settings easier. ... Speaking of which:
Feed privacy setting:
A new option has been added (which an be found on the "Profile Page Settings" page): You can now decide to hide your feeds from your public profile. Only logged-in members will then see your feeds.
Blocklist update:
Users on your blocklist now count as "guests" when accessing your profile. Means that they won't appear in the "last visitors" list; and - if the prior mentioned setting is enabled - will not see your feeds on there.
Bug fix:
A bug regarding the icons of your contact links has been fixed. They now show up properly again.
As suggested and approved by the community, you can now see your history of sales at the GTS Item Market (link can also be found at the bottom of the Item Market page). It shows the items you most recently sold (incl. quantities and price), as well as some more interesting statistics at the bottom regarding your all-time purchases and sales. Enjoy!
In the last few days, I've cleaned up and refactored different parts of the code basis of PH. None of these changes are noticeable to the players (it just makes the future development of PH easier for me). However, this serves as a reminder that if you do find any bugs caused by this (e.g. when a feature suddenly lets you claim a reward you've already obtained in the past; or it lets you claim a reward multiple times), then please report it asap in the bugs forum (or send me a PM if you feel like it could be exploited by making it public). Abusing a bug is a violation of Rules 5.2.
Due to an unforeseen database glitch (the event activity points database reached a technical limit last night), there had been instances of data loss regarding activity points in the newest Event Distribution. Basically, when you collected activity points, the different activities seemed to overwrite each other, and the hourly limits also interfered with each other.
This issue has now been fixed!
As a compensation, the current event has been extended by one day. Additionally, everyone affected by this bug has received 1,000 additional Activity Points. I apologise for the inconvenience!
As suggested and approved by our community, gems traded as part of the Raylóng quest now also count for your "gems traded with the collector" stat (the one that grants you discounts for gem collector trades). This has also been applied retrospectively, i.e. if you completed the Raylóng quest before, your counters have been increased accordingly.
As suggested by our community, you can now click on the Pokémon of your PokéRadar history. It will redirect you to the shiny Pokémon's profile (if it hasn't been released yet).
Note that this feature works also retrospectively for shinies you've already hatched in the past. For very few Pokémon, however, this is not yet available - the server is still searching for some of them. Fun Fact: Our server has been searching for the proper connections non-stop for the past 2 weeks now. Some are just really hard to find lol.
But all links will be made eventually (unless the Pokémon's been released).
As suggested and highly approved by our community, you can now filter public GTS trades for "missing" PokéDex entries (similar to what you can already do at the Auction House). When a trade contains more than one Pokémon, it might still be shown - but the Pokémon whose dex entry you already have will be greyed out.
This filter also takes into account the shiny and shadow attribute of a PokéDex.
Example #1:
You don't have any Dex Entry of Ducklett. So this filter will show you all trades including regular, shiny or (theoretically) shadow Ducklett.
Example #2:
You have the regular Dex Entry of Ducklett. So this filter will still show you trades with shiny or shadow Ducklett.
Example #3:
You have the shiny Dex Entry of Ducklett, but not the regular one. You guessed it: The filter will still show you trades with regular or shadow Ducklett, but no shiny ones.
Of course you can combine this filter with all others. So if you only want to fill your Regular Non-Shiny Non-Shadow dex, then just set these filters accordingly as well.
To detect autoclickers (and other types of bots) at the Coinflip more accurately than before, the "Are you a human?"-prompt has now been added to this feature as well. You might already know it from making interactions.
Just try to act as human as possible and all's good :P
Additionally, users who's account is currently locked or who were locked within the last 2 months are now automatically excluded from the Medal Rally.
- You can now view your progress at raising your Dream World Level underneath the progress bar, as suggested here.
- The algorithm behind our cheat detection system has been further refined. Based on roughly 8.5 GiB of training data, I was able to drastically increase the accuracy of this detection system.
This new system was already able to find over a dozen occurrences of cheating that happened within the last month, which the old system hadn't detected yet. Our previous algorithm would have most likely caught these users as well, but it would've taken much longer. Our system always makes sure to find rock solid evidence to prevent so-called false positives. And with the way this new system works, such solid evidence can be found much quicker.
The Tall Grass Event has now ended. You can still safely hatch Tadbulb eggs obtained from the Tall Grass during the event period, but starting a new tall grass search now and adopting further eggs will make them affect your PokeRadar.
In total, Rowan was able to retrieve 31,192 Tadbulb thanks to everyone's help. I wonder what he will use them for...
Personally, I count this event as a huge success and I am looking forward to another Tall Grass Event in the future :)
Some details on the new Gimmighoul Easter event:
- All active mega cuffs have been extended by 10 days free of charge, to allow everyone to participate in this event without losing their active cuff. Note that this is not applied to flutes as they're still very helpful for collecting Gimmicoins.
- Gimmicoins are tradeable.
- Gimmicoins do not expire when the event ends, so you can collect and accumulate them over multiple events if you are a more casual player.
- Gimmighoul itself does not break your chain as it's "obtained through event"; but getting gimmicoins requires hatching certain eggs that naturally affect your hunt. That's why you can pause your hunt for free.
As stated in the news post, this event features rather new concepts/elements and we'll first have to see how these things play out before considering possible adjustments/rebalancing for future events. I hope you enjoy this "new wind" the way it is for now :)
I woke up this morning and knew that the Badges page needed a visual update. So here you go:
(Side-by-side spoiler-free comparison, click to enlarge)
Essential changes:
- The "Set X" buttons now indicate which set you're currently viewing
- You can now click on the "?????????" hidden description of badges you haven't unlocked yet to see their description/hint. Note that this does not change rule 5.3
- A stat has been added to each badge showing how many trainers own this badge
