	Sage falls to a knee, appearing defeated. "Nice blow. But don't let your guard down." They jam the hilt of the dagger into Kendos' side. The two fight for hours, until both are bruised and sweaty. "Good round Kendo. Seems you've still got some fight in you," Sage teases. [Read more]

	Sage parrys the attack with a short dagger, but it's not enough to stop the swing completely. They are knocked back and stumble, but they stand up straight again. "As have you." Sage shows an array of arrows at Kendo, then follows behind them, hoping to catch Kendo off guard. [Read more]

	Sage punches Kendo in the shoulder. "Let's get somewhere where we won't mutilate our own people." The two make their way to the sparring ground and begin their fight. Sage draws their sandalwood longbow and fires a few specially tipped arrows at Kendo, so as to not pierce his skin. They would leave a dark bruise, but akendo was strong, and he'd manage. Sage knew exactly what he meant. "We're in the eye of the storm," they said. "And it's only a matter of time before we're out." It had been quiet, but it was far from over. After the last conflict, both sides were left brutalized, with many of their numbers dwindling, but the enemy was much better left off. Sage was fighting alongside a group mostly of common folk, against an army. Hope was desolate in these parts, but Sage had to hold onto it. Not for themself, but for those that can't for themselves. "If nothing's going on, why don't we go do some training? Stay long enough and I'll pay for your bad habit tonight."

Sage always had a sort of contempt towards Kendos' work ethic, finding them in a bar passed out more often than not, but they had to admit, when needed, Kendo was a force to be reckoned with, and a bright light in such a dark world. "Don't be too tough on them," Sage giggles. "Maybe if we found you at your post when need be, or at least in your own bed, we wouldn't have to drag you out be your ankles."

The sun reaches a point in the sky indicating for Sage to leave her post and head to the assignment station. It had been a boring morning so far, but any moment could turn for the worse. Sage makes for the station. Reaching it just after the others, they attempt to fall into line, but are pushed out. Seeing Kendo and co, Sage shoves through the crowd to be next to them. Tapping Kendo on the shoulder, Sage smiles. "How's the morning going?"

"I used to have a cat," Sage says with a half smile. "Her name was Cleopatra." The thought of their old pet scratching at walls, knocking over cups. It was irritating at the time, but now, they would do anything to have that sense of normalcy back. However, times have changed, and Sage has learned to stop reminiscing. Things happen, people die, and Sage would have to change with it all. "I'd say Sweden. I'd go to the middle of nowhere, set up living, and just soak in the rural environments. I hear it's beautiful this type of year."

Sage chuckles awkwardly. "Woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, eh?" Sage leans against the wall, looking down. Of course, Reyna was right. It was true, of course, that all of this was crazy. "It wasn't just one person. Those that followed behind them filled the powder keg." Sage snap their fingers. "They just lit the fuse, and were left to put out the fire." The sun reaches higher, basking their skin in a warmth they hadn't felt in a while. Maybe it will all be okay. Maybe the fighting would stop and peace would reign at last. Of course, Sage knew that wouldnt happen, that realistically, most of them wouldnt make it out alive. "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Assuming no conflict would arise."

Sage stands at the northeast tower, looking on to the plains below. They pluck at the string of their longbow, yawning in the early morning light. Times of peace such as this are why they keep fighting. Bits of bliss in the eye of the storm. They were tired of the death, the pain, the suffering. They were willing to do anything to make things better, and so here they were, crack of dawn, patrolling the perimeter. She looks up as she hears footsteps approaching. Another guard on patrol, Reyna, made her way Sages direction, weapon ready at a moments notice. "Took you long enough," Sage laughs. "Couldn't have gotten up a little earlier? I've been by myself here for the last hour."
