it sorta slithers in, messes with a couple strands of DNA, then makes the altered cell reproduce faster

so when you take a cancer pill
it targets all the fast growing cells and since hair is a fast growing cell, your hair falls out

so you'd have make a better pill that targets abnormalities in the genes of your body?
but that wouldn't work because there would be multiple of the abnormality making the abnormal normal.
