You evolve gimmighoul with 999 coins but without coins you cant evolve
The following Pokémon might evolve with the use of a Gimmicoin:

+ 99 =>
+ 999 =>
+ 999 =>
+ 9,999 =>


I Just hatched my Mega Charizard Y on 22/03/24 and Mega evolved my other Charizard into Mega Charizard X, AND GOT MY FIRST SM

You actually need to evolve Gimmighoul into Gimmighoul (Chest) first, before you can evolve it into Gholdengo, which is 1098 Gimmicoins:

Only way currently is to buy the coins. Either that or have to wait until the event happens again.
