Darry proceeds to make his way inside of the Pewter City Gym, in search of his first Kanto Gym badge. He arrives before the doors and proceeds to stop and let his Pokemon out. "You guys ready?", he asked excitedly.

Borealis: "Baxxxx!"

Rebel: "Mankeeeeyyy!"

"Knew it!" Darryl said happily before entering the gym and standing face to face with Brock. "So, you're here. I'm Brock, Gym Leader of Pewter City. My rock-hard willpower is evident even in my Pokemon. You're going to challenge me knowing that you'll lose? That's the Trainer's honor that compels you to challenge me. Fine, then! Show me your best, Go Geodude!"

Geodude: "GEOOODDDE"

Rebel: "Mankeeeeyyy!"

"Use Low Kick, Rebel!" Darryl exclaimed. Rebel dodges the opposing Geodude's Rock Throw and uses Low Kick to trip the Geodude, using its weight against it. The Geodude, temporarily stunned by the attack, was left open to a Karate Chop that knocked it out. "Not bad, kid" conceded Brock, "but can you handle a true Rock type titan? Go Onix!".

Onix: "NIXXXXXXXX"

"Rebel, Low Kick again!". However, the Onix was far too big to be knocked down by such an attack, though it did take some damage. Onix retaliated with a massive Rock Tomb, crushing Rebel and knocking it out in one shot. "Alright, its all up to you Borealis!" Darryl cried.

Borealis "BAXXXXXX!"

"Borealis use Powder Snow!". The Icy blast did do visible damage to the Onix but Borealis was hit with yet another powerful Rock tomb and was left on its last legs.

Borealis: "baxxxxxx...."

"Hang in there Borealis, one more Powder Snow should do it!". But this time when Borealis attacked, the blast appeared different, instead of a small flurry of snow, Borealis unleashed a chilling blast from its mouth that caused Ice crystals to form around the Onix before shattering all at once. Borealis had learned Frost Breath. The Attack defeated the Onix and Darryl emerged victorious. "I took you for granted," Brock admitted, "And so I lost. As proof of your victory, I confer on you this...the official Pokémon League Boulder Badge." Ecstatic over his victory, Darryl proceeded to make his way to the Pokemon Center and began to prepare for the grueling trek through Mount Moon and towards Cerulean City, where he heard the next Gym Leader was.

Surprised to see Darryl at the Pokemon Center, Phoebe went up to Darryl and explained the situation, "Route 3 is currently closed at the moment, there's a situation going on, I think you should go check out the museum while waiting on the next steps", Phoebe explained while Hubie nodded as did Lotus, Arizona and Percy (Phoebe's Poketeammates). Soon Phoebe looked at the Pokemon egg that she received from the Professor's Assistant as there still lots of questions and answers to be determined.

"Huh, ok i guess", Darry responded, visibly deflated by the prospect that his adventure would have to wait. "Well Ms Raiford WAS hoping to learn more about Kanto when I get back, and besides, not much else to do here. Alright you two," Darryl said to his Pokemon, "Guess we got ourselves a bit of a break before we head out". As Darryl made his way to the museum he thought to himself, "First the forest now Route 3, what is going on?"

Indigo came to the pokemon center, Pecan running ahead as always. "I heard something about a museum? Sounds exciting!" Pecan showed enthusiasm as well!

Phoebe told Indigo about the situation, "Route 3 is currently shut down at the moment, there's some issue going on at the museum that needs to be checked out", Percy the Pidgey and Arizona the Nidoran female shrugged a bit. Soon Phoebe explained, "I will try and catch up later while I have a look at the town map and see if there's any alternate paths that will lead to Cerulean City", Phoebe said.

As Marcia and some of the other trainers enter the Museum, an aura of chaos permeates the room. Despite the cool jazz playing in the background, scientists behind the front desk are scrambling.

As you enter, one of the scientists perks up in recognition. "Oh! You're the trainers who went into Viridian Forest?" she asks.

"What? N-no! We would never-" she cuts Marcia off. "We have intel, you know. Those guards didn't tell Oak or other law enforcement about you lot, but they told us. They told us that a group of trainers matching your descriptions went into the forest." Marcia winces. The scientist gets more serious. "None of you are in trouble. In fact, we need your help. Our strongest trainers, up to the Champion and Professor, are too afraid to get to the bottom of what, or who, has been rampaging the Kanto region and beyond. Our coalition wants to figure out what's happening so that we can stop this. You lot... are the only ones who know of the destruction in Viridian Forest, aside from our organization and Professor Oak. And since neither the Professor nor any actually prominent trainers will help us... we need your help." She takes a breath, preparing for her next speech. "We are Project Pax. Working within the Museum walls to independently research this strange and dangerous situation." a long pause. "We can reward you generously for your efforts in helping us, and these rewards will help you on your journey." the woman sheepishly twiddles her fingers. "I hope you'll at least consider our offer. We would first need help near Mt. Moon, dealing with a situation there. Meet my colleague Dr. Holly near Mt. Moon if you're interested. The guard by Route 3 will recognize you." she sighs. Her monitor has been beeping this entire conversation, and she's just about annoyed with it.

"Now... any questions?"

With no other alternate plan, Phoebe decided to head to the museum, "Come on everyone! Time to head to the museum", Phoebe said to her Poke teammates, Phoebe also was holding the Poke egg that she received from the Professor assistant. Phoebe exited the museum while Hubie, Arizona, Percy and Lotus joined in, Percy was practicing some flying and found the roof of the museum, soon Percy the Pidgey returned to Phoebe, "Did you find the museum?", Phoebe asked. Percy nodded and soon Phoebe said to her Poke teammates, "Let's head inside everyone", Phoebe entered the museum and was amazed at the sight but then she sees a crowd going on and she sees what was going on, "Project Pax, uh oh", Phoebe gulped as she sees what was going on, Hubie the Piplup hugged Phoebe to help her calm down. "All I know is that I took an alternate path from Route 2 to get to the Pewter City, I didn't cause any trouble, I know it", Phoebe said.

Umbro entered the museom to see if could find informaition on what could have caused the distraction in veridian forest but when he got in he saw some familiar face he the other trainers who got into veridian forest he went up to see what they are talking about but all he hears before he gets to them is something about three "what is happening. what is going on in rout three?" he askes the other trainers

Still feeling the nerves about the situation that is going on, Phoebe was still having thoughts about what she should do, "I can't figure out if the Project Pax will be good for me or should I step away and handle the Pokemon egg project instead because there's still lots of answers to find", Phoebe wondered. Then one of the researchers looked at Phoebe who was holding a Pokemon egg, Phoebe gulped and said, "Uh oh!".

Darryl, after listening to the scientist's lengthy speech, became visibly excited to continue his adventure. With his eyes gleaming, he eagerly took the scientist up on her offer and proceeded to make his way back to the Pokemon Center to prepare for the trek to Mount Moon and beyond. However despite his enthusiasm, Darryl still felt a tinge of fear "What kind of Pokemon could wipe out a whole forest?", he thought to himself. "One worth battling!" he proceeded, brushing off the momentary fear he felt and went to stock up on Potions, Poke Balls, Escape Ropes, and Repels.

Seeing Darryl taking the offer of helping out in Project Pax, Phoebe had a bad feeling about what is happening, "I, I can't handle the Project Pax as I have other things I need to take care of, such as taking care of this Pokemon egg", Phoebe said as she started to take a step back getting closer and closer to the museum exit. Phoebe feels that something is still a miss and the scientist researcher might be someone else in disguise, "I just hope it is not an evil team", Phoebe said.

after Umbro heard that something is happening in route 3 he ran straight there the guards let him through like the scientist said he wondered what is really happening in there so when he got there and saw the same thing that happened in viridian forest he was very surprised and wondered what could have caused it he looked around and saw a scientist and asked him what happened there
