The first prize options look like the most balanced and useful without having to add what might be a major update to do it (ie a whole new store. The beach was a MAJOR update, and the stores were likely a massive reason for that), the only alternative I can suggest is that instead of putting a symbol on the Pokémon that won the strongest Pokémon rally is that the winner gets a Retro Kanto starter voucher or something. Something that's typically locked behind premium, and thus has value and it could be claimed from Rowan or something after he says something like "that was impressive, why don't you take this as proof that you're a capable trainer" or something.
Just remember: You can't prove God didn't crawl out of the ocean.

And for your alternative, most of the player in the Medal Rally are Premium members, so it's not that great but the message from Rowan is actually a cool idea!

I like this idea to add an actual prize for the medal rally since I see few people actually displaying them on their profiles (the inability to organize & stack the medals doesn’t help)

But I think prizes should be kept simple, like how writing/art/etc contests seem to be for what I’d say is the same amount of time and effort. So prizes of flutes or a week-month of premium could be nice prizes? Non-sellable items that usually benefit the average pokeheroes user- or event points as a prize, more ways to earn those are always welcome

I rather keep it as is, especially knowing some users who already interact a lot are consistently on rally for berries and eggs hatched, and play enough golden slot to be able to consistently top strongest pokemon if they wanted to

I rather medal rally remain as a "badge of honour" because it allows other users to win if they want to, rather than the same few users hogging it for the prizes

I think a strongest pokemon mark would be cute though!

I disagree. Many tasks are easier to do if you have been in the site for a longer time, but there is rarely too big of a difference between a hardworking newbie and someone who joined a while ago. This is not the case in medal rallies.
Grinding berries take time, so the ones who can freely feed berries are in most cases people who have been on the site since the beginning. Egg hatching is tied to how fast they hatch, wich is easier if you have more followers, which moderators and long time players often have. Same with strongest pokemon. This is why you almost always see players like momalia and tuna in these medal rallies. Im not saying they dont try hard, but they have a pretty big advantage.
I think it should stay a badge of honor so we dont have a couple of top players hogging all of the special pokemon or prizes. The mark could be cute though!
