Evernight Library
Forum-Index → Roleplay → RP Sign-up → Evernight LibraryWhat is relevant is that you...don’t know where you are. Well, you kinda do. The area of the accident, just a little bit off the road, but you don’t remember it snowing; it was summer last time you checked.
And last time you checked, there wasn’t a library there.
Evernight Library
This roleplay is a cross between the books Midnight Library and Everlost, two really good books about death. You do not need to read both unless you want to. I can explain mostly everything and anything if you have any questions.

My
Character
The Evernight Library seems to be an echo of
the world hidden away in a limbo state; a state between life and
death, which is where your character is now. It’s bigger on the
inside and has shelves upon shelves of books, although none of them
seem to have titles. Or even anything on the pages...weird.
The world of Evernight is limbo. A place between life and death, an echo of the world. You can still see cars go by and people go on with their lives, but it all is blurry to you. There are some spots that are clear though; these are called Dead Spots. They are places that have died in the real world brought back to Evernight. Forests, monuments, houses. If they had once held love, they are here.
Places with lots of death and sadness are very blurry and montone. These places give you a horrible headache. For example, your house, the exact location of the accident, anywhere that has experienced death or great grief.
You can not experience basic human feelings (not to be confused with emotions). You do not get cold, you do not get hungry or thirsty. You do not get tired, out of breath, physically worn out or pain. These feelings have rid themself, these feelings have died along with you. You can still feel emotions though; sadness, anger, grief. It is expected that you go through the five stages of grief when you first arrive at Evernight.
Any place where any human has died, there is an exact copy of the Evernight library. You can see them scattered around Evernight; some are abandoned, some are flourishing with life and other people who didn’t get to where they were going.
The Evernight Library is a place for regret to be lost. The Librarian (who can look like anyone, even yourself) listens to all of your regrets and helps you. Helps you adapt to this weird new world that you’re never gonna get out of. Tells you stories it has heard from passing travelers.
STILL A WIP.
