Keep in mind that I haven't been very active in the community for a little bit so some of these might be way more popular now. I'd love to know if you agree, use any of these Pokemon on your personal teams, or have more underrated Pokemon suggestions!

Gen 1

Mega Pidgeot
Pidgeot is very easy to find, especially at the very beginning of the game! While most of its stats are kind of mid when not mega evolved, that doesn't stop it from being all around ok. Its mega evolution makes moves like Hurricane to be absolutely devastating, and with its fast Speed, it makes it easy to quickly KO other's teams! 7 weaknesses is the max amount but luckily this Pokemon only has 3.

Alolan Raticate
This is a slight improvement in stats from its Kanto counterpart. Alolan Raticate has more HP, SP Defense, and Defense, allowing it to take hits easier. The only drawback about its stats is its lower Attack and Speed. It does have more weaknesses but if you're a fan of Raticate, don't let that stop you and get a chunky one with the ability Thick Fat. Rattata is everywhere, Rattata is forever.

Fearow
Basically Pidgeot with a higher Attack than SP Attack, moves like Sky Attack and Giga Impact make this Pokemon decent to start out with. I'm not sure how good it is near the end of the game but its accessibility at the beginning makes it worth testing out!

Arbok
Personally, I love the design of this Pokemon. I wouldn't say it's amazing but it's all around ok. I just like admiring shiny Arbok. Its best moves are probably Giga Impact and Gunk Shot. It only has weaknesses to Ground and Psychic so other than that, it'll do just fine.

Alolan Sandslash
It has pretty good Defense and Attack but I might be a little biased because I love my frozen Sonic the Hedgehog. I would recommend having it learn Earthquake or Focus Punch but it does make a pretty good shield while you heal up other Pokemon if all else fails.

Nidoqueen
All around an ok Pokémon. It's best at physical attack, using moves like Giga Impact and Focus Punch is a good idea.
