Terra Et Tempore
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Private RP → Terra Et Tempore"I-I'm sorry about your husband. I didn't realize..." And that thought was stopped indefinitely. It wasn't unheard of for gods to fall in love with mortals; Earth's mythology was full of stories like those. And Iteral was a demigod. Moon was just being stupid. "Sorry," she said again.

"Thank you for your kind offer, Lady Aelius. I fear I have no choice but to accept it, and impose on you a while longer." Inwardly she cringed. Moon knew from experience that she would need to make a backup plan, and fast. As if anything could even come close to permanence in her life.
The lyrics drifted back into her head, the blessing and the curse that came with her name. "Soon I'll be a stranger in a strange new place... searching for an old familiar face."

The unnaturally flat cadence of the man's voice threw him off. Silver shivered slightly as he heard database. Although he seemed friendly, Silver had long since learned to be wary of robots and androids. Unfortunately, he didn't have much of a lead, and in any case, there were many universes where robots had pivoted to become allies. "O-oh, I see," he replied after a moment, running a hand through his hair anxiously. "I guess we're in the same boat. Well...I'm not sure how familiar you are with all of this, actually," Silver backpedaled, waving his hands apologetically. "At least I know how I got here and why, but you don't seem like the dimension-hopping type." His brow furrowed, and his tone grew more serious. "Actually, you should probably stick by me. My job is pretty much to hop through worlds and prevent disasters...so, well, I'm here, and...anyways." Silver shook his head and smiled again. "What's your name? Where are you from? Uh, if you don't mind saying so."
The Enderman stepped back for a moment, admiring his work. Beautiful! It was all he could do for now, he didn't have the Gift of Strength after all. But... it was missing something. He scratched his neck, careful not to dislodge his pumpkin. Oh right! Windows. His house didn't have windows. He looked around but he found no sand. Time to look somewhere else.
"Hm," He mumbled. "That might be ideal, yes." He said with a slight nod of the head, his LED seemingly going back to yellow ar the mention of 'hopping worlds'.
"What's your name? Where are you from? Uh, if you don't mind saying so."
"I'm an RK800 android issued by Cyberlife to help track deviancy. Like I said, you can call me Connor," He said, before adding on. "My work is usually in Detroit. Is there anything else you inquire?"
Moon absolutely hated that she couldn't keep it together in front of Mona. No weakness, no emotion, no nothing. But she was dependent on Mona's kindness at the moment. She had no food, no money, no clothes. There was nothing in this world Moon could lay claim to.
Fighting her inner demons, she followed the goddess deeper into the house.

Detroit was an unfamiliar word to him, though from the looks of the android, he suspected it was some sort of city. He couldn't really picture some country robot being dressed in crisp business attire only to be taking care of horses or roughing it outdoors. Tracking deviancy was an odd function - what did that mean? Was he looking for odd ones out? Clearly he'd been designed to blend in...he shook his head again. "Got lost in thought. Do you have any idea what we ought to do?"
"Nice to meet you too." He said, simply and formally. He watched Silver become seemingly confused, most likely because Connor hadn't chosen to elaborate on the deviancy stuff.
"Got lost in thought. Do you have any idea what we ought to do?"
"No. It seems to be getting dark, it would be smart to find a place to stay, or ask around for our location," He said, his LED flashing blue a few times.
Moon slumped down, sitting with her back to the door. She was alone. The thought was terrifying and liberating.
Tears pricked the corners of her eyes. She swiped at them furiously. At least on Earth, she could cling to the hope that her door was coming to take her home. Here, everything was far less certain. She hated everything and everyone, but mostly just herself for being... Weak.
Giving up, she let the tears fall.
Moon knew how to cry silently. She had years of practice.

Shaking out his hair, for the first time in this realm, he tested his abilities. Some worlds messed with his powers, though never in a way that hindered his traveling; it seemed that this world had little to no effect as a surge of cyan brightened around him. Pushing up into the air with practiced ease, Silver swept his gaze around. He smiled at the warm lighting of a hotel sign a mere block or two away. "Okay, Connor," he said, touching back down onto the ground. "There's a hotel just up ahead where we can stay for the night. Man, it'll be so much nicer trying to save the world after a good night's sleep and not weeks before. Follow me!" Hardly waiting for a response, Silver marched forward, only glancing to confirm that Connor was following. This was sure to be the start of quite the adventure.
Caleb shrugged. He turned into his more spiritual form and snuck into Mercy’s room, possessing the bookcase. “Goodnight Ma.” the bookcase whispered, and soon Caleb ‘fell’ asleep, since he just forced himself to sleep for now kind of like a shutdown.
