Hey dude! I've been experimenting with gems a lot recently. Got nothin' else to do and it's fun, ya know?

So the other day I tried merging different gems by applying force to them. And thanks to my strong arms, that actually worked! When I crushed a bunch of Dragon Gems and a handful of Fairy Gems together, they suddenly started glowing and next thing I see is a Pokémon egg in my hands! How crazy is that?!

I decided to make a business out of this! You don't look like you're hitting the gym often, so how about you give me the gems that I need for the fusion and I'll do the rest for you?
You're wondering about what's in there for me? Well... let's just say that a fusion doesn't actually require as many gems as I ask from you. I keep a few for myself. That's only fair, right?

That's why the inhabitants changed the name into "Emera(ld) Town".

Even now people still suppose many Emeralds are buried very deep underground - but no one could ever find any further treasure.
