Eris caught the ring and watched the other person scramble away.
She was a little confused, but smiled it off. First day jitters
most likely. At least she hoped... She entered her room, placing
the ring in a pocket and looked around her new room.
Eris' room was strange. The walls were rainbow spots and patterns,
like something from an old soft play from the 80s or 90s, but so
faded and sun bleached they were nearly pastel in some places. A
few plastic balls faded by the sun's rays lay on the ground, the
curtains having been pulled back. The floor was covered by a blue
mat, and the bed was in the corner closest to the window. Neatly
made, but the bed frame was scratched and had a slight dent.
Eris smiled. She thought the room was cute. Faded in vibrance, but
still cute. She walked over the blue mat that covered the floor
over to the bed. It was time for some rest. Her new life in this
place had begun...
Yes, sleep was a good idea. It sounded like the scraping of plastic
rings over a metal curtain rod, as the windows were covered by the
vibrant curtains not yet derived of its pigment.
The night passed surprisingly quick. Eris soon awoke. For a moment
she was startled by her unfamiliar surroundings, but memory caught
up to her. With a stretch, she got up...
Eris was startled as she noticed the second being in her room; a
Long Eared Owl. Eris slowly and carefully moved closer to the bird.
Noticing the medallion with the initials T.E.W. on the front,
curiosity got to her and she began examining the medallion, turning
it over...
