The bell rings. Wordlessly, Athena got off her bed and snapped her fingers, making all her supplies float along behind her. She left the room silently, eyes straight ahead.

Athena's performance visibly deteriorated in her classes. She wasn't focused, didn't answer questions, and had moved to the very back of the classroom. She still got full marks for everything, and excelled at whatever task she was given, but even the most clueless people could figure out that her heart just wasn't in it.

All the other students stayed far far away from her, like she was infected with a contagious virus or something. They whispered behind her back, pointing at the bracelet on her wrist. She didn't turn around, didn't falter, just continued on her way, like a robot. Whenever she spoke, which was very rare these days, her voice was cold, emotionless. Her eyes unfocused, looking past you. Whenever someone offered help, advice, guidance, anything really, she ignored them. Even her closest friends. Her dorm was always locked, the curtains pulled shut, the room dark and stuffy.

She buried herself in work. Work upon work upon work. She mastered every aspect of magic possible at her age. You name it, she could do it. Not that it mattered. She was still a disappointment, no matter how hard she worked.

*Just write a summary of the week for your character. After everyone has written what they wanted, I'll time skip to the first day of the tournament.*

Sophie glared at Sobble and Jake, overhearing their conversation. She had been silent for too long and couldn't help but say something.

"You don't even know Athena. Can you not see that she wants to left alone? She's only going to listen to two people, maybe three. And that number doesn't include you. So stop trying to break into her dorm, because she's already had to deal with creeps at this school. Everything you try will only lower the chances of her reaching out to her real friends."

She stormed away without waiting for a response. Ogd, she missed the old days. The few glorious weeks where it was her, Kendo, and Athena against the world.

Councillor Lediana was... annoyed. Already, nearly thirty members of the student body had joined her daughter in wearing the bracelets. All of them were too stupid to wait just a few more days to get back to bullying their victims. How had Stanpnacia allowed this place to get... so bad?

She strode through the halls, effortlessly commanding attention with her billowing cloak. She would need to start observing teachers. She was already suspicious of a few of them.

Councillor Lediana did not like this school.

Athena knew it was the tournament. And she would be participating. But she didn't really care, and her attitude and behavior didn't change.

She missed the spark behind her friend's eyes, and stared angrily at the bracelet on her wrist. Yes, perhaps they were necessary to regulate the violent magical students in this place, but not for Athena.

Athena nodded passively. Of course, she wasn't really. Unlike normally, she hadn't really read the tournament rules carefully, and didn't have much of an idea what was coming. It was a wonder she'd shown up at all.
