I tend towards ethereal, darkwave, shoegaze, and some metal subgenres. I've noticed that I keep coming back to the album loveless - my bloody valentine. It's great company in any weather, it drowns out outside noise while somehow being soporific, and as with any good shoegaze album you can more or less make up whatever lyrics you want. Oh and the guitar riffs are nice too.

Some other albums I have enjoyed listening to over the last few months:

Though of course I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder so you can expect this to change entirely once the weather finally gets warm around late May.
