Is Higher or Lower Fair?
Forum-Index → Discussion → Is Higher or Lower Fair?Since I hate doing HoL, I'm offering PD or other items for data! I'll offer 200 PD per round for every round you fill out yourself. Don't want to fill out the sheet? Don't want to do HoL? I'll also offer 100 PD per round if you either record yourself doing HoL or transcribe a recording. I would prefer 100 rounds at minimum per person, but I don't have a planned upper limit. I plan on transcribing myself so I'll definitely take as many videos as you guys want to make.
Let's get to the details! If you want to do it all yourself, I'll make a copy of the template and send it to you that only you and I can see/edit. I'll need an email for this part so I will ask for it over PM. If you want to make a video, post it on youtube publicly at normal speed (not sped up mostly) with your username and the number of rounds somewhere in the title or description. If you have a youtube only for viewing (understandable), you can send me a PM with a link to the file directly. I'll post it on my youtube instead. All youtube videos will be put in a public playlist. I'll make a list here of videos that have or haven't been claimed by a transcriber. If you're a transcriber, I'll send you a copy of the sheet like above and assign you a video (you can pick if you want a longer/shorter one).
There's no real deadline for this to be done. I mostly want to go off numbers for the stop. I want to get at least 10,000 rounds before I post any kind of claims. I'll likely take more data after that too since I'll be needing data for each number later.
There are instructions in the sheet itself, but I'll make sure it gets done right with in depth instructions in the spoiler if you're confused by any part.

First, this is an example of a filled out sheet. All
you need to fill out are the green areas (column A-D). Round end is
the last round you get to. If its above 5, it'll tell you when you
end. If not, add up the guesses. For simplicity, I put the round
end at the last guess. You don't have to, it can go anywhere in the
column. First number is the number you start with. Second number is
the number you get after (pictures below explain exactly where it
is). Guess is what you pick. This can be shortened to whatever,
just make sure it is marked if it isn't like. H or L.
Aside from the green columns, you don't have to do anything else! The blue columns will update themselves. The orange column will be filled out by me later, but if you want to do it, go ahead! Just make sure to have it capitalized or the sheet won't count anything.

This will get nowhere if it doesn't get around so make sure to share it even if you can't do anything to help. Let's show Riako if HoL actually needs a remake!

To end off, I'll gladly take any suggestions; from changing the price I pay to help coding the sheets. I want this to be worth it for everyone invovled, even if HoL is fair and doesn't need changing.
I actually enjoy noting down things and honestly have no idea how to record my screen so I’d fill out a sheet myself. No need for pd in my case though, I’ll have fun joining this and that’s all I really need. :’>
Title: Basic math.random
math.random takes a number between 0 and 1. Here you take it *10 so you "scale" it up to 10 numbers.
math floor rounds the number.
then it checks if the input is = the random number.
I actually coded something like this too. and it's very much random as a pc can be random :')
