Alacra paused, before saying, "Unless I told the queen I was the one who saved her life. She must remember the adventurers. The ones who stopped the assassin." Evan's brow furrowed, and then realization dawned over his face. "You mean..." "Yes. I hung that cursed ax up many years ago, but if I have to become that 'hero' again, I will. If we can get a message to the palace, I have hope that the queen will be just as willing to save her people. It's the only chance we have, unless you want to search this infected city for the place of casting."

"We don't have anything to use against the cloud, aside from luck with Zephyr and my own endurance in runecraft. While I would love to say I've plenty of both, I don't.
