While this rp does take place in the Poptropica universe, no knowledge of the game is needed to join this rp. Some basic information you should know is that Poptropica is made up of multiple islands, each with their own timeline, universe, and story.
You can always google about the game if you really want to know more. Okay back to the real thin you're here for.

Poptropica used to be a peaceful land, adventurers going out on their airships and blimps to solve the mysteries of many of the islands in poptropica. Not anymore.

The glitch came out of no where. It started spreading across the islands, destroying buildings, causing destruction, and infecting adventurers and citizens. Those infected by the glitch become what's known as 'glitch zombies' who act like what you expect zombies to act: mindless, empty. They help spread this 'glitch' around the islands. As if they weren't enough, robots known as 'Flash robots' travel from island to island to inject the glitch into the island, spreading the glitch even faster.

However, there is still hope. Some islands are immune to the glitch for unknown reasons. An old scientist discoverd a way to make a weapon that can cure glitch zombies and return them to their normal states through the power of 'Haxe crystals', and even reclaim islands from the glitch's control. He passed this knowledge to the remaining adventurers, who formed a group known as 'The glitchhunters' to try and reclaim Poptropica's peace.

So will they succeed? Or will the glitch find a way to take them down?

Inspired by the Apocalypse AU by ANNE14TCO, and the move from Adobe flash to Haxe.

The GlitchHunters were first founded by four adventurers who would like to be anonymous. The GlitchHunters task is to head to the infected islands, rescue citizens, and try to take back the islands.

There are 3 main roles, however these are just recommendations and a member can switch at anytime

The Soldiers Goes to the infected islands to fight the Flash robots and Glitch zombies in an attempt to take back an island.
The scouts Goes to infected islands to gather resources needed for the team.
The Spies Gathers information from infected islands.

Members are all given a gun that can turn Glitch zombies back into their normal forms. Due to them being a prototype, they have a incredibly long cooldown between shots, so each shot must be done carefully. Other tools like communicators, phones, and Airships are available for members to use.

The main headquarters is on Home island, and smaller HQs are on other safe islands. There's usually one on every safe island to monitor the Haxe crystal.

The Haxe crystal is a mysterious crystal capable of making an island immune to the glitch and cure glitch zombies. The Flash robots' goal is to find a way to overpower the crystal, but so far every attempt has failed.

2) Nobody is perfect. Your character can't hit everything and dodge everything. That's just unrealistic.
3) You can start the rp out as a glitch zombie or Glitchhunter. If you do start the rp as a glitch zombie, keep in mind your character will have to be cured and join the glitchhunters at one point.
4) Give others a chance to post! We're not trying to make the most active rp here, that belongs to loosing it all. Roleplay at a pace comfortable for everyone! We all have outside lives.
5) No one liners. If I have never roleplayed with you before please include an example from a recent rp post you did.
6) 3 warnings and you're banned from the rp.
7) Password is your favorite game that got deleted due to adobe flash ending.
8) All timeskips are controlled by me, all characters are controlled by their respective users, what I'm saying is that only control what you're allowed to control
9) do not take advantage of any rules I haven't put on here.

Personality: Gwendolyn really lives up to her last name. As an adventurer it's no surprise she is brave, a little carefree, and tunnel visioned. All the classic adventurer tropes, yeeted into this human being.
Birth island: Monster Carnival island
Residence island: Twisted Thicket
Backstory: Gwendolyn grew up watching the Carnival from the comforts of her home, ignoring the rumors circling about it. It was only when she turned 11 did she took interest and went to see the Carnival herself, only to end in her very first adventure. The rumors around the Carnival staff being monsters turned out to be true, and Gwendolyn found herself in the thrill of an adventure.
After Ringmaster Raven was defeated, Gwendolyn realized she loved the adventure she just went on and wanted to do more. She moved to Twisted Thicket and continued solving the various islands mysteries.
Gwendolyn was travelling across the sea on her Blimp when the Glitch first arrived. She wasn't aware of it until she found Twisted Thicket in ruins, and knew something was up. Through the words of terrified civilians, did she learn about the Glitch.
