Totodile for sure. It's so cute, and Feraligatr ends up being super cool and strong.

That being said, Torchic has a special place in my heart for being the first one I ever chose.

Definitely piplup. The first time I played through pokemon pearl, I adored it. It's pretty strong as Empoleon, and I loved the Water-Steel type, too!
