Hello, Reader. So I see the future generations are interested in the past. If only it had been so in my day....
Ah, but I am rambling. So often I do that, in my old age. My memory is failing, and I barely leave the den anymore. Thank goodness my husband is so capable at hunting.
And already losing track again, within simply a few sentences. I really must strive to keep on track now
My name is Ember. My titles are many.
It was once Recorder. After that, Bloodsurvivor. Now it is Hopebirth. All titles have meanings, and I will share those at some point.
You are reading this because you wish to learn of the past of Lupa, I assume? We must be careful to learn from the past, or evil will run unchecked, the light buried somewhere deep.
I will give you many tales of Lupa
The times when the Guardian Tribe was pure. The legend of Alder. The rebirths of forgotten Tribes. And many more.
But I must remind you, my memory is no longer good. I will simply write as I remember. The order will be jumbled, and the wolves in each story even more so.
But in all the chaos, Spirit retains order.
He has chosen my daughter, Midnight, to do so now.
As you read this scroll, it may still be her, or a new vessel may have been selected.
But none-the-less, you must still do your part.

Title: The Shift of the Guardian Tribe

Nobody's really sure when it started. I mean, we know it took place between the end of the War of Splitting Powers and the War of Lost Kingdoms, but that was a large stretch of time. Queen Hydrous and the other Scalewing rulers had recently passed away, leaving weaker rulers on the thrones. Ghost (as we now call him, I have been unable to find his previous name anywhere, but some manuscripts suggest Serpent) slowly began regrowing his hunger for power, and saw these unexperienced wolves ascending to the throne his perfect chance. Guardian Tribe was the origional name, for after the first battle their job was to stop disputes between tribes.
