Sunny watched Nidoran dodge the attack and decided to go ahead and finish the battle. The short sleep seemed to have calmed her down much more than she realized. "Scratch again!"

Kage kneels next to her nearly fainted, exhausted pokemon, and congratulates them on their efforts. Thinking that they should take a well-deserved rest now, she offers to return them to their pokeballs. Much to her surprise, the two shake their heads, signalling they would rather walk along. Kage pats their heads and together they go further through the forest, not before Kage places the fainted wild pokemon in a safe spot.

"Oh, thank you," Kage manages to say just before going further. Charmander and Deerling look around and approach some berries, visibly hungry.

Pokefarmer (actually what's a better name... LOL): Ahhh... Be careful out there. Some Pineco took over the Durin patch, Cherubi in the Cherri patch, and Skwovet all over. We've been trying to get people to catch or remove them, but... Well no one has yet. *The gardener thinks* Oh! Hey! Maybe you could help?

Kage: So that's how things are. Well, I don't see why we shouldn't give it a try.

Kage comes over her two pokemon, taking some moments to ponder. "I dont think we can get to these berries without driving them off. There is one potion I can use. Deerling, would you be fine if we relied on your Synthesis this time? Then I could use it to heal Charmander."

Deerling nods, her movements weary and reserved as if to preserve the little energy she has left. Kage massages her back comfortingly, not wanting to push the fawn pokemon to the limit.

Kage uses one potion on Charmander, who recovers (part of) her health. She heads to where the mischievous pokemon might be.

Sunny smiles down at Nidoran, wondering what on earth just happened. "Is there something you aren't telling me?" she joked as she scratched Nidoran behind the ear. Aware she doesn't need more sleep, Sunny moves on to try to relocate the other trainers, but staying well hidden.

(As Kage and Taike walk towards the Oran patch, some wild Skwovet [1xLvl 5, 1xLvl6] attack them with tackle [Held items: Oran berry each])

(Meanwhile, on the other path... Aname and Colt approach a crossroads, and they turn East instead of continuing North. They reach a stone well next to river.)
???: Hi Im one of the Berry Gardeners! I'm Lyselless
LYSELLESS: I was going to deliver water to the garden from this well, but my Pansage and Panpour are too exhausted! *She stops then says* Maybe you can help?
ANAME: Sure we can! I just need to know, where is the Berry Garden?
LYSELLESS: It's just on the opposite side of the woods. Here, you'll need these!
(1x Pan o' Pour obtained!)
(Side quest for Colt and Aname: Deliver water to the Berry Garden recieved! 0/1)
(As Aname and Colt continue to explore the area around the well and next to the river, a kind fisherman appears)
FISHERMAN: Howdy! Have you been fishing lately? What's this? You don't have a rod? Here, have one o' mine and see how you like fishin'!

Charmander senses the Skwovet and growls, taking the hit. Kage shakes her head upon Deerling's glancing at her, as if to ask whether she'll need to battle this time. "Charmander, use Ember!"
