Edit by Riako: Moving this to "Suggestions" from the "Bugs" forum to see what everyone thinks about possibly changing this. Would you agree that the sweets used to evolve Milcery's form are Evolutionary Items (agree with this suggestion), or should they remain under the "forme-change" category (disagree with this suggestion)?

I was wondering how the sweets that evolve Milcery into Alcremie and not change Alcremie's form in the forme-change section of the item bag and not in the evolution stones section?

Logically, sweets are of decorative purpose only, and only change form of milcery (sweets make different forms of Alcremie, or Alcremies are differenciated through their sweet forms). Milcery evolves only when you spin your character round and round. (I don't know how it works here).

For Milcery to evolve here, you have to have it in your Party, and it must hold a sweet. Then you have to spin the Wheel of Fortune in the Game Center with a Pokemon.

Here is a list of the specifics for the Pokemon that is spinning the wheel

It basically depends on the GENDER of the spinning Pokemon, the TIME (day/night) and the SPEED stat of the spinning Pokemon

Milcery needs the sweets to evolve in Alcremie. The sweets are an evolution item they don't change Alcremie's form like Flame Plate (or any of the other plates) does for Arceus.

Moved this to "Suggestions" to see what the userbase thinks.

My personal reasoning is that you can't immediately "use" these items on a Pokemon but rather give them to be held first. So the "Use" button bugs me here in case it's moved to the "evolutionary items" category (and no, this button can't be removed on an on-item basis).
But I do agree that it also doesn't behave the same way as a forme-change item does...

I think it's not a big deal of which category it fits in, as long as the other items that a pokemon has to hold while doing something to evolve are in the same category. So here, the prism scale is in the evo-items section but it doesnt necessarily evolve feebas with a "use" button. You have to trade feebas while its holding the prism scale, but its still an evo item. Using the same logic, the sweets would go in evo-items as well. My recommendation tho is if you want like the "use" button to only be linked when you can actually use the item directly, make a new section. You could do something like held items where prism scale and sweets would go. Or tbh you can just do a section for sweets since theres a lot, like theres a separate section for plates.

I'm not sure why it got moved to suggestions but I was asking a question more of why are they in the forme-change and not evolution item section.

Also Razor Fang and Razor Claw both have a "use" button much like other evolution items but the "use" button when click doesn't evolve them. Some have to be held and either leveled up or traded to evolve by the item.

So it's not a big deal if changed it was just something that I was curious about.

i think it got moved because it wasn't necessarily a bug, riako did it on purpose since he thought it wouldnt fit in the evo-items section. you might have just been wondering, but its also a valid suggestion c:

Since sweets are used to evolve milcery into many forms we can compare it with other evo items for eevee, right? So if the items used to evolve an eevee are in the evo. stones part we SHOULD make sweets in the same section..

the difference is sweets don't directly evolve milcery (the milcery has to hold the sweet and then you have to spin the wheel), and the type of sweet doesnt affect which alcremie you get.
