Can someone tell me why it says 7 when I have 8 doors open? Also where is Dace? Was I supposed to claim a door twice?

You just need to refresh and it should show 8 doors open. Dace was in one of the doors

The doors will turn dark the next day even if you opened it or not. So if you missed day 3, it would still turn dark (as if it was opened) on day 4, but it would not be counted towards the "You have opened x out of 24"-counter. I’m not 100% sure why it turns dark, but my guess is that it shows which days have come and gone, and it prevents you from going back to claim the reward.

Dace was a reward for day 5. If you had a full party while trying to claim the reward, the door would be counted as "incompleted" (since you didn’t actually claim the reward). So you technically didn’t open the door, so it didn’t count towards the "opened x out of 24"-counter.
