Lucky returns from an adventure （ mystery dungeon :) ） knowing it would be her last for a while and begins to go to school, her first day. She hopes that she didn‘t miss anything important.

Dakota looked down at Shade. "I don't wanna fight you." She said after a while. "Call me a coward, I don't care." She said, showing another side of her. "Just go out, say you won. I can act like I'm hurt." She said, her wings folding into her back. "I-I'm not very good at fighting." She said, her eyes growing watery. "I-I did- didn't-" She said in between breaths, then calmed down. "I didn't mean to sound so snotty earlier," She explained. "I'm forced to act like this." She rubbed her arm. "You can go, then." Dakota said, turning around and holding back sobs. Her breath was shaky.

I'm just glad I can get away from my mom, at least for a little while.
