A soft breeze blew through a quaint and peaceful town, Welcome to Dubashore Village, a Village located on the coastline of Japan’s Shikoku region. There are many wonders found in this seaside town, such as the dock used for importing goods from other areas of the world. It’s a very important time of the year, it’s the yearly Harvest Break. A Break that lasts an entire month out of schools and colleges. Usually with the break from school comes a-

“Harvest break project…” A blonde haired boy looked down in disappointment, a Green haired girl scoffed “Seriously Devin? It’s an amazing project that gives us an opportunity to show the college how good of biologists we will be!” He sighed “I’d rather play Call of Requirem, you know that Kiwi.”

Kiwi Lia
Female, Age 18
Born in Toronto, Canada on the 17th of April. Her dream is to be an ecologist!

Devin Dutai
Male, Age 18
Born in Dubashore, Japan on the 23rd of Jun. His dream is be a professional gamer and biologist, though more on the gaming side.

I sighed, “Kiwi, Devin we should start heading off.” Kiwi looked at me “Sorry Blackberry! Where are you going to? We have to research and entire place, I’m going to Toronto!” Devin shrugged “I’m just going to be gaming and do it last minute here in Dubashore.”

I looked down and pondered “Not quite sure yet, maybe a type of island like Hawaii?”

Blackberry Blyadd
Male, Age 19
Born in Tokyo, Japan on the 16th of October. His dream is to be a marine biologist like his late father, His first name is unknown and he goes by the nickname Blackberry.

Devin looked and shrugged “We have a month, No need to rush.” I sighed “But I can’t help it…” Kiwi chuckled “It’s okay Blackberry! I’m going now, text me if you feel like tagging along!” I smiled “Alright!” Devin scoffed “Welp, see ya dude.” Devin said waving goodbye and walking off. I smiled and waved back.

I turned around and headed off to my house, after a while of walking I made it to Peach Creek Street and eventually my house. Though I passed by three boys, talking about money for jawbreakers or something like that. I shrugged it off and went inside, I was greeted by a small corgi, Yammy! “Hey girl, How was your day?” Yammy barked and chased her tail “Nice to see girl! Mom! I’m home!” I spoke out loud, and soon my mom came in.
Kimia Tulip Blyadd
Female, Age 36
Born in New York, America on December 12th, she married Blackberry’s father while on a trip to London.


“Good Afternoon Berry, How was your day today?” she asked me as I took off my shoes and placed them on the carpet. “Good! I just got my harvest break project, but I'm not quite sure where to go for it…”

My mother smiled softly “Well, your father had a similar project. In fact the place he researched isn’t that-” She was interrupted by a breaking news announcement “All over town there are reports of theft of food and drinks, If you are by chance holding food watch out for this unknown robber.” She sighed “Breaking news about a food thief? They’re running out of ideas aren’t they…” I looked at the broadcast as they showed a blurry image, must’ve been a horrible camera since it appeared as purple blue and white, but also red and pink, also green brown and yellow, and also yellow gray and black. From the pov of it being purple blue and white it appears similar to a seal, but when it’s red and pink looks more like a puppy, and when green brown and yellow it appears as a baby elephant type shape, and as yellow gray and black it resembles a cat. It feels so familiar yet unrecognizable.

I put my shoes back on “Hey mom, sorry but we can talk later. I’m curious about what this thief is!” She sighed “Always in a rush, You remind me of your father… Stay safe please…” I nodded and dashed off.

She looked at the door which her son closed behind him, Yammy was barking wanting to tag along and go for a walk. “Down girl, when he gets back he’ll take you on a walk. He always does…”

Blackberry was running down Peach Creek street and turned to the candy store, the window was shattered and tons of Candy was gone. I ran in and looked at the cashier “What happened?” The cashier stuttered “There were 4 creatures, they broke in and took a large amount of candy!” I looked at him, four creatures? But the news report only said one, but maybe that could explain the blurry different colored shapes, they were jumping in unison in a line to avoid a good view of them. Doesn’t matter, I’m going to catch them! “Where did they go?” The cashier shook “Last I saw one was headed down Cranberry Lane! It was hard to keep track of them!”

I thought for a moment, Cranberry Lane… That heads to… The Sushi Shop! I better hurry, before it’s too late. Luckily for me I know the ins and outs of this town! I raced off and leapt from the ledge down to Hakala Street, I ran to Sam's Sushi and caught a glimpse of a purple blur. It had just left but was scared into the alley! It’s trapped now with no escape! I went down the path and walked slowly towards the creature. “Hey there, sorry but you’re trapped!” I said leaving no room to escape, Once I catch one I should be able to get the other 3 after an hour or more of running. ‘Mym!’ It squeaked and tried to scale the wall, it fell down and struggled to get off its back, I heard it squeal in panic as it tried to flip over. I ran up and grabbed it, it squealed and squirmed before losing energy and falling asleep. I took a closer look at it, It felt familiar… I shrugged it off as Sam came up to me “Little Blackberry! I do applaud you, you’ve caught the menace!” I smiled “Well one of them… The candy shop owner said there were four so I have my work cut out for me!”

Sam looked in dismay “Four? Well maybe if this one came to my sushi place, it would be smart to assume at least one went to the Steak house.” I nodded “By chance do you have any crates you get ordered ingredients in? I need a place to keep this little menace!” It squeaked quietly. “Oh little berry do I ever! I have crates from all the fish I get from the market, You can use 4 of them! Should be enough!” I smiled “Thanks Sam!” He handed me 4 crates, there were spaces between each wood plank but it was too small for the creature to get out. “Don’t worry about them breaking or burning, They have been coated in flame resistant spray I bought off Zonama!” I smiled “Thanks again, I will catch these creatures and maybe come by for some fish for Yammy!”

Sam smiled as I headed off to Dan’s Steakhouse, The purple creature squirmed around. It hurts me to see a struggling creature but I can’t let it wreck havoc. I made and saw a red blur leap from the roof with a steak in its mouth but fell and knocked out, I walked up to it but it quickly got up. The red shards in its fur glowed and it shook a small flame on its butt. Is it a tail or? I got the purple creature in the crate and put it in front of me. The red one stopped and went towards the crate. I grabbed it and it spat fire out its mouth dropping the Steak, it calmed down eventually and I put it in a crate. Dan ran out “Blackberry am I ever glad to see you! This red little monster set fire to my oven!” I looked at him and tilted my head. “Isn’t that supposed to happen?” He looked at me blankly. “Not like this you dense boy! Anyways I saw a green one heading towards Kayla’s Italian Buffet!” I nodded “On it!” I picked up the crates and ran to Kayla’s.

I entered the building to see the green creature just looking at a potted plant. “Uhh… What’s this one doing…” Kayla walked up to me “It’s just been staring at that plant after it ate 13 plates.” I walked up to the creature and it looked at me. It pounced on me but not aggressively like the last one just playfully… Like a big puppy, which is ironic since the puppy like one is hostile. I petted it and picked it up, it squealed but then stopped as I put in a crate. “Seems they all act differently than each other… Now for the yellow one… But I can’t handle these three while running… I should drop them off at my place until I get the last one.” I grabbed the crates and headed home, I made it home and I saw the yellow creature. It was just sleeping in a bush… I picked it up and it meowed, I went inside and was greeted by Yammy. “Hey mom! I caught the food thieves from the news! There are four of them!” She walked in the room and looked at them “Well you should probably go return them from the region they’re from.”

I looked at her confused. “You know what they are?” She sighed “You did too, Look at them closely.” I looked at the four after letting them out of the crates, they felt familiar but then it clicked to me. “Aren’t these the creatures dad drew and I suggested that he makes them into a card game?” She nodded “Correct, initially you weren’t supposed to know about their existence. But when you walked in on him drawing he distracted you away from the studies by making the card game.” I picked the four up and ran to my room, Yammy followed as I looked around and stumbled upon a black box “Here it is!” I shuffled through the cards and picked 4 out..

Mymphy
Mischief Soul-Pet, Tide Class!
Using a combination of cute looks and squeaking it gets away with many small crimes, mainly involving food theft and breaking objects. Its favorite food is Catfish!

Flirru
Rugged Soul-Pet, Scorch Class!
It despises interaction with others, it identifies anything as a threat and loves to battle. It gets upset when it loses. Its favorite food is Steak!

Floraphant
Playful Soul-Pet, Nature Class!
It loves to play, always pouncing on playmates and nuzzling others. It is not a fan of battles and rather play. It’s favorite food is any Sweets, though its specific favorite food is unknown!

Elekitten
Lazy Soul-Pet, Storm Class!
It always has its eyes closed, some confuse its walking for sleepwalking due to it’s love for napping. It’s favorite food is Chicken!

“So all of you… You’re from dad’s card game… But the Mymphy… It’s heart symbol is on the other ear! But the others are exactly like the cards? I need to bring you four back to your home!” I said in confidence as the Mymphy and Floraphant pounced onto me, Flirru walked away and onto my desk, and the Elekitten… It just napped. “Aww down you two! Tomorrow we bring you home to… uhm… Wait here!” I put the two onto my bed with Elekitten, I left Yammy to watch them and make sure nothing bad happens.

I looked at my mother, she sighed “If I remember they live on a faraway archipelago, and I believe my father moved there a while ago… Planning on returning them to their island?” Blackberry smiled “Yeah! But not just that! I plan on having my Harvest Break project on those islands! I get to see these little cuties and work on a new land? Count me in!” She chuckled and patted his fluffy hair. “That’s my little boy, I’ll call him right away to let him know you’re coming.” I smiled and went to my room, I saw the four talking to each other, though the Elekitten was more or less sleep talking and the Floraphant was staring at another plant. “Alright you lot, we will be taking a ship to your home. I’ll be there for an entire month for a research project!” The Mymphy squeaked happily while the Flirru scoffed, The Floraphant tackled me playfully and the Mymphy joined in.

-Meanwhile on Pumpkia Island in the Solia Archipelago-

An old man was watching his lawn, seeing people with their own Soul-Pets. He smiled and spoke out “What another beautiful day, Who knows what will happen?” He smiled as his phone began to ring, he checked and the caller read ‘Lovely Daughter’ he answered it “Hey there sweetie! What brings you to call me?” chuckles were heard “Hi daddy, a few Soul-Pets were found in Dubashore, I came to tell you that J- Blackberry is coming to Pumpkia to return them. He’s also going to do his Harvest Break research project on Pumpkia so please watch him.” The old man chuckled “Little Berry? I can’t wait to see him, I have a feeling I know the owner of the Soul-Pets, recently four Soul-Pets got out of a Lab in our lovely Peri Town.” “Well Blackberry has them, they’re right in his room. Tell the owner about the situation please.” The old man sighed “I’m not a fan of their owner but I’ll do it. Love you!” “Love you daddy, bye!” The call ended and the old man got up and began walking off “Now where’s that lab…”

-Back at Dubashore-

Kimia hung up and then started another call “Hey Crash, I need you to do me a favor. When are you available to travel? Right now? Alright, Those food thieves from today remember? Well my son caught them and wants to return them to their home, can you bring him to the location I’ll text you? Really, thanks! I estimate Blackberry would be packed by now, once he gets a hint of travel he instantly starts packing! Alright, bye!” She hung up and then went to Blackberry’s room “Crash can bring to the Island, be ready in a hour-”

The boy smiled “Already packed! I have some clothes, my camera, phone charger, dad’s cards, Sketchbook, and so on and so forth!” He said holding a suitcase his mother chuckled “You never cease to amaze me! You should probably get their favorite foods in case it takes a long ride.” Blackberry looked at the Mymphy who was flipped over for belly rubs “I think they’re going to be good from all the food they ate.” Blackberry chuckled as he patted the Mymphy “Alright you four, let’s go!” Yammy ran in and licked my face “I’ll be back girl, miss you!” He got his suitcase and the Soul-Pets and ran off to the door “Love you mom! Have a good day!” I closed it and ran towards the docks which weren't far from Peach Creek Street. After a while of running and walking I made it to the docks to meet Wake “Howdy Wake!” He smiled “Hey Blackberry! Crash is at the wheel charting the course, I can’t wait to join you in these new lands!” I looked at him confused. “What do you mean?” He smiled “Well I’m quitting after this trip, I heard there’s a huge fishing community and I want to give it a shot!” I smiled at Wake as I came in the boat. ”That’s nice, I hope it works out for you!” Wake smiled widely “Thanks! Hey Capt! Everyone’s onboard!” I heard a loud, gruff voice. “Got it, off to Pumpkia in the Solia Archipelago!” I smiled as I saw Crash looking down from the helm of the ship. We began sailing off and I looked at the four Soul-Pets. I can’t wait to arrive at Pumpkia!

Into Pumpkia! I looked out the window of my cabin, we’ve been sailing all night and I could make out land, I heard Crash “Land Ho! Pumpkia is right on our horizon!” I smiled and woke up the Soul-Pets, though I couldn't tell if Elekitten was awake or not… I got my stuff packed and looked out, as we made it to the docks of this new place! I got off with Wake and the Soul-Pets and headed forward, I looked around the town and read a sign ‘Peri Town, Town of beginnings’ I smiled “Well Wake, I hope to see you soon!” I said as I ran off with the Soul-Pets I looked behind me for a second and ran into a masked girl, she dropped her sign “Oops, sorry. I wasn’t looking where I was going!” She hit me straight on the noggin with the sign, this made the Mymphy bite her. The Floraphant pounced on the girl playfully “Hey get off you two! Wait… You two are the ones from the lab, then that makes this boy…” “Oww… Hey! Down you two, we can’t cause trouble. Not at least until we bring you back to your owner!” Mymphy squeaked and Floraphant pounced on me playfully. “If you have these two then…” Flirru poked out of the bag I had on, he was asleep with the Elekitten in there. “Four… That’d make you the guy I’m looking for, Leo’s Grandson?” I nodded “That’d be me, My name’s Blackberry Blyadd! What’s your name?” She scoffed “What kind of name is Blackberry, but if you insist I’m Amity.”

Amity Chana
Female, Age 18
Born in Wintira, Solia on December 21st

I looked away “Well… Technically Blackberry isn’t my real name but I don’t like my name so I use Blackberry as a replacement.” She turned to me and scoffed, “Follow me, I’m here to make sure you don’t get lost…” I didn’t question her mask, mainly because she didn’t question me on the reason I don’t like my name.

She led me to a brick building that stood out like a sore thumb “This is the lab for the Soul-Pets, let’s go…” She escorted me inside and brought me to a messy room. I heard two people talking. “Look, all I’m saying is that my Grandson is going to be amazed by anything you say as a Professor.” A hmph was heard “Highly doubt it, no one likes this old hag… Everyone likes my Daughter because of her looks.” Amity sighed “Hey mom.” She said, interrupting the two. “Morning sweetie, this him?” Before she could say anything Floraphant tackled her playfully, Flirru went to rest on top of a Bookshelf and Elekitten went to a cat bed, but Mymphy just wandered around. “Great to see you Floraphant, Now as I was saying you’re Blackberry right?” “Yeah, Blackberry Blyadd.” I said walking next to Amity. “I’m Professor Cascade Chana, and Amity’s mother. I’d like to thank you for getting all four of my Soul-Pets.” I smiled widely “It’s just instincts, I’m honored to meet a real Professor!” Leo looked at Cascade “Told you.”

She smiled “That’s nice, no one really appreciates good Professors here. Kids stopped coming here to get their starter Soul-Pets and now we have too many to deal with… Well since you’re here, may I interest you in your very own starter?” The boy had sparkled in his eyes “Really? You’re letting me have one?” She smiled “Correct, you can pick between the four you caught! Mymphy, Flirru, Floraphant, and Elekitten!” The four Soul-Pets turned their attention to me, I looked at the four and smiled “Well, I don’t want to hurt anyone but.” I went to Mymphy and picked her up “I choose you! You were the first one I caught, and back when dad made me believe Soul-Pets were just a card game I always had a Mymphy on deck.” Mymphy smiled and nuzzled me, “And I’m going to give you the name, Aria!”

Cascade Silac Chana
Female, Age 36
Born in Wintira, Solia on September 1st

Leo went up to Blackberry “Great to see you again Little Berry! How about a hug from your old man?” he smiled “Alright Grampy!” The two hugged, Cascade smiled as the hug ended “I worked with your father and he was a brilliant man, It’d make me happy if you would be my assistant since you have that Harvest Break Project!” I smiled “Really, I’m honored! I’ll do it! I want to help however I can!” Cascade smiled “Well, I help you learn the basics but you should really get settled in before doing anything big.” I nodded and hed Aria, Cascade looked at me “Wait, before I forget! You need your arm gear and Aria’s card!” She went to the closet and got out an old metallic piece of metal, she then went to a binder and pulled out a card now labeled Aria with a picture of Aria posing on a Beach during Sunset. “You can use this arm gear to put Aria back into her card, this is how you also summon your Soul-Pet in battle but, this is an older version. Everyone nowadays goes to Wintira to get the newer models, but at this time of year it’s too cold for even Amity who lives there with her father. So she’s here during that Polar Season.” I smiled and put on the Arm Gear, it was a quick fit and I looked at all the buttons on it. “Put the card in the slot and press the Orange button, that returns Aria to her card. To summon her, put the card in and press the Pink button!” I nodded and followed the instructions, returning and summoning Aria, i decided to keep her out so she could roam around.

I got my stuff and went to follow Grampy to his place with Aria! We eventually made it and I began unpacking, I put my stuff in the guest room and began helping Grampy make dinner for us and Aria!

Amity was walking through Peri Town, it’d been awhile since she’s been here and she wanted to do her annual tradition. She entered a bakery and went up to the counter “Hello there~ I’d like all your cookies please~” The cashier blushed and went got a bag and filled it with every cookie he could find, after many bags one the bakers went up to the counter “Ma’am are you sure you have the funds to buy these cookies?” Amity smiled and wiggled her butt and blew a kiss“I have many ways of payment~” The baker had a red face as he went to the back “Good enough!” the cashier came back and handed her the bags. “Thanks cutie~ Here’s my number~” She handed a slip of paper to the boy and he smiled as she walked off “Too easy, have enough of a perfect figure and anyone falls for you!” Suddenly Blackberry appeared behind her chasing Aria “Oh Hi Amity! Can you help me get Aria? She’s avoiding a bath, which is weird since she lives in water…” Amity thought to herself ‘Hmm, what happens if I try it on him? He’s dumb but is he dense?’ “Well I'd rather do something else with you~” She said wiggling her butt “Like what? Golf? Study? Baking? That can wait until after Aria has a bath!” she sweated a bit ‘Yup, he’s dense. But no one I’ve met has been this dense.’ “Oh well~ See you later~” Blackberry watched as she left, then Blackberry shrugged. Aria looked at him with a face that just screamed ‘This boy is dense.’ Using the opportunity he didn’t quite think much about, he leapt at Aria and caught her “Gotcha! Bath time!”

Amity walked to her house, normally at Wintira she’s far from the most sexually attractive but on Pumpkia where not too many females are she’s a very high tier and beloved girls. It left a weird feeling, being used to making every boy on Pumpkia fall for her that one wouldn’t be phased. “Well, he’s technically from Japan. But it's still weird to me…” She looked around the house and couldn’t find Cascade, she devilishly smiled and went to her room. He got all the cookies out of the bag “Well, I still got a lot out of today!” She went to eat a cookie but it was snatched from her by a Flirru, though it had white fluff and blue shards of metal instead of the light reddish fluff and red shards of the one Blackberry got. “Shard!” She said taking off her mask and throwing it on her bed. She scoffed and picked up a different cookie. The Flirru took it again and chuckled. “Get back here you little!” She leaped towards the Flirru but it moved out the way.

-Meanwhile with Blackberry-

“Well Ja- Little Berry, seems you got Aria all cleaned!” Blackberry smiled “Yeah! And were you about to say my real name?” Grampy sighed “Yeah, force of habit. I should try to get used to your nickname.” Blackberry smiled “It’s fine, I mean no one is here so you’re free to call me by my name!” “It’s fine Little Berry! Now that Aria is clean you should go take Cascade’s first lesson. We may not agree but it’s important that you learn!” Blackberry nodded “Alright, See you by dinner time!” Blackberry said running off.

He ran to the lab passing by a Flirru being chased by a loose-masked Amity. He looked at the two and shrugged thinking they were playing tag. Aria looked at Blackberry and then toward Amity. She squeaked at Flirru “Stole her cookies again, Shard?” Shard barked “You know it!” But to Blackberry and Amity they only heard Barking and Squeaking “C’mon Aria, let’s go to Professor’s Lesson!'' Mymphy nodded and the two went off to the lab, Professor Cascade poked her head out “Morning Blackberry, Morning Aria! Here for your first lesson and maybe your first mission as my assistant?” Blackberry nodded “Ready as I’ll ever be!” Aria squeaked confidently as she ate a lizard that got in the lab.

“Aria! Don’t eat lizards, Eat fish.” He said getting a cooler out and placing a catfish down “While sailing here we stopped to do some fishing, you missed out on it since you were asleep with the others.” Aria smiled and spat out the lizard, she happily gobbled the catfish. “So you’re always prepared it seems.“ Cascade said while eating an ice cream sandwich. “Anyways we will have a simple lesson out on Route 1!” She got up from her chair and dragged me off outside and towards a beach, I saw what seemed to be ghosts and trash. “It’s sad how we trash our planet.” I said with great concern. Cascade looked at me and nodded “I know, it pains me to see that all this plastic is out there but sadly all we can do is hope and pick up trash…” The two looked out and sighed, moving onto a plain with tall grass.

“Welcome to Route 1’s Kala Plains, a place where most of Route 1’s Soul-Pets are found. This area contains Skye, Mimi, and Spiki.” Cascade said while looking at a large pond. “So what are we doing here?” Blackberry asked. “You will learn about the other two buttons and their uses.” Blackberry looked at the Arm Gear and nodded. “Let’s begin with the red button, put an empty card in and aim at a wild Soul-Pet, this will launch the card at them and give a chance to catch them to add to your deck. It takes 3 turns to charge up though so you’ll need to use Aria to either attack or defend!”

-Meanwhile with Amity-

Amity finally caught Shard “Now let’s go home, and we have a little bit of talking we need to do…” She said upset. Flirru sweated and tried to get out her grip and failed.

-Back with Blackberry-

“If you want I’ll take this battle to demonstrate how it works.” The Professor said smiling, Blackberry spoke out “Yeah, that’d be nice!” Cascade put on the arm gear and put a card in. “Magnioso! Spark this up!” She summoned a Soul-Pet I’ve never seen before both in person and as a card. Cascade looked around and caught a glimpse of a yellow rabbit covered in leaves and holding a stick. “A Mimi! Magnioso, use Magnet Blast!”

The Robotic Soul-Pet had two magnets for hands, they glowed and released a beam of energy. It hit Mimi, damaging it. It took its stick and dashed around at a decent speed, it appeared behind Magnioso and slashed with the stick. The Professor smiled “It just used Swipe, a Plain Category Melee Move! It doesn’t stand that much against a Mecha and Storm Class such as my Magnioso! Like the card game your father made, which I was informed about, Soul-Pets have different strengths and weaknesses!” The Professor said smiling, Blackberry opened his mouth “But what’s a Magnioso? I never heard of it.” The Professor chuckled “Magnioso is a Soul-Pet I invented, much like the arm gear, it is made with special crystals that give certain Soul-Pets power!” Blackberry had stars in his eyes, he was amazed.

“Now use Shock! We don’t want to hurt it too much!” Magnioso used a Shock, The Mimi was Stunned which lowered speed and chances of it moving. “Now it’ll be easier to catch due to the status condition from Shock, it’s a low damage Storm Move that always Paralyzes!” I nodded and wrote down some notes. The Mimi couldn’t move from it’s Stunned State.

“Now last move before the catch, use Shock again!” Magnioso nodded and used Shock, Mimi was stunned but managed to use another Swipe. “Now for the catch!” The Professor put a empt card into the Arm Gear and pressed the red button firing a light beam under the Mimi, the beam went up as soon as it went under the Mimi and then there was a card, It glowed once, twice,then a third time and then changed into a Mimi Card. “And that’s how the Red Button works! Though it’s not a guaranteed capture, there are many types of capture cards but only a few work with this out-dated Arm Gear. For now just use Basic Capture Cards.” I nodded and followed her.

Blackberry watched as Cascade summoned the Mimi she caught, She petted the Bunny like Soul-Pet and smiled. “Now for the last button, the blue button! It uses special technology to store items, watch!” She pressed the button and a small list of items appeared, she touched on of the items and an ice cream sandwich came out. “It stores anything and they’ll never melt, rust, or even freeze.” She said before eating the treat. “The Limit is 300 Items on this *hic* model” Blackberry was amazed “That’s amazing! What else is there?” The Professor sweated, she didn’t expect the boy to be so excited about learning. “Uhh well, we can do your second lesson now if you want…” Blackberry smiled “Yeah, we got time! If it’s okay with you I’d like to do the second lesson!” The Professor looked around frantically for something to teach the boy.

“Well it’s important to… Learn about berries on the Island!” She said with no clue about what she was doing. “If you’re gonna be meeting Soul-Pets then you’ll need food to make it easier for them to appear!” Blackberry nodded “So different Soul-Pets have different tastes?” The Professor smiled, “That’s my theory!” she said with little confidence.

Blackberry nodded “Alright, where should I check?” The professor smiled at the question “Why, in the Kala plains of course! When you feel like you have enough berries, come meet me at the lab!” Blackberry strapped on his Arm Gear “On it!” Professor Cascade began heading back to her lab.

Blackberry took a look around the plains, he spotted an area filled with flowers and unique plants, he headed towards it finding some Mimis and Skyes, He picked a few berries and enjoyed the scenery, he began to lie down as he noticed a chocolate colored flower. He picked it up and it opened revealing a small Soul-Pet made of chocolate. “Hey there lil bud, what are you?” He pulled out his cards and shuffled through them and pulled out a card. “Cocalil...” He mumbled through the description

Cocalil
The Predatory Soul-Pet, Sweet Pure Class
It hides in flowers, it may appear cute but will not hesitate to fill prey with endless chocolate cream causing a heart attack and then will eat the prey. It loves any type of meat.

Blackberry looked at the Cocalil and then he ran off with the berries, he made it to a pond and sat down. A small fluffy, duck-like creature waddled to him. He looked at his cards and pulled one out. “Snowlia?”

Snowlia
The Curious Soul-Pet, Frost Air Class
It is an extremely curious creature, it loves new things and will stop whatever it is doing to waddle to people out of sheer curiosity. It loves Hunadew Berries!
“Well it wouldn’t hurt to make a new friend! Hey bud, want to join me?” The Snowlia quacked and leapt up and flapped its wings, It flew to the other side in a battle ready position. “Huh?” The Snowlia quacked. “Oh, are you trying to battle me? Uh alright, but please don’t be mad or get too hurt. Aria, let’s do this!” Blackberry summoned Aria who was chasing her tail. “Let’s see your attacks… Use Bite!” Aria nodded and ran towards Snowlia with her mouth wide open and biting it. It was a direct hit, the Curious Soul-Pet shook it off and fired an array of ice shards, Aria took the hit pretty well compared to how Snowlia was hit by her Bite.

“You two alright?” Aria and Snowlia both nod. “Alright, use Adore!” Aria smiled and blew a kiss towards Snowlia, it clearly was affected and its guard dropped. It’s Shielding ability is lowered. Snowlia dived in with a glowing beak and hit Aria with a Aero Dive.

“Aria, you okay? Just one more turn to wait out, try to defend with all you got!” Aria held her flippers infront her body similar to boxer blocking. The Snowlia fired the small Ice Shards again, Aria’s defending stance made it so she only took a third of the damage. Blackberry took a basic capture card and put it in the Arm Gear, he then fired the capture beam at the Snowlia. The card glowed once, twice, and one final time. Blackberry caught a Snowlia. He summoned the Curiosity Soul-Pet and began petting both it and Aria “Welcome to our family, I think I’ll name you Eve, based off Mount Everest!” Eve quacked happily and flew onto Blackberry’s shoulder, Aria climbed on Blackberry’s head and the group began heading back to Peri Town.

-Meanwhile…-
A Cloud of smoke and ash covered a once shiny silver city, Screeches came from the sky as buildings caught fire. Messages were sent to important people of the island, including Professor Cascade. On a shadow of a large bird-like creature was a man in a cult-like uniform “The time has come…”
